Indeed it is. It's going to be dysfunctional with the roster that LAL has. Hope Munchak do the NYK a favor of trading P. Gasol for A. Stoudemire. Predicted this during preseason.
I think you confused the Tennessee coach Munchak with Laker GM Kupchak. Thats ok though since we got our brains beat in so badly by the Titans its not the first time an ***-kicking has affected a fanbase haha. As much as we need a stretch 4 Pau Gasol is softer then Stoudemire is stupid. Stoudemire for Dirk (if he were to ask out of Dallas), Stat for Z-bo + (since Randolph doesnt play well with Rudy) or Stat for Josh Smith and a pick or two would make more sense. whats funny is that Stoudemire is the second highest scoring PF after Dirk thats active and we dont want him because he cant play next to our defensive minded C who averages like 9 points and 9 rebs. Oh and 5-0 with all wins by double digits. Big tests in SA and Memphis this week...I fully expect we will lose 1 but Id be happy with a split. Memphis is playing out of their minds and the Spurs are always tough.
My god.... Knick fans are hopelessly delusional. You want to trade your trash (Stat) for everybody else' best player. oh.....kaaaaaay.
That was ONE Knicks fans opinion, im on record as saying a few pages back id trade him for a role player coming off the bench. So keep your statements non plural MISS.

I am going to hand you guys a early Christmas gift, Like I do every year. The annual death march of east coast teams that do the west coast and finish with a back to back through Denver begins tomorrow night... the first victim? The Miami Heat. Let's make some money.
I suspect Dr. Busse is going senile or losing to much cash playing no limit hold'm D'Antoni? Oh, that'll work well, old and slow meets a "6 second offense".
Hey Section, if you were to pick three home games for the Heat from December on, based on affordability and entertainment value, what three games would they be?
Taking into account affordability and everything else.... Saturday, Dec. 1st vs. Brooklyn Saturday, Dec. 22nd, vs. Utah Friday, Feb 8th, vs. LA Clippers
Dr. Buss doesn't run the franchise anymore. He hasn't for a few years, in fact. He handed he reigns over to Jim Buss, his idiot son. This I the reason why Phil left the second time, and is also the reason he isn't there now. The Lakers can spin it all they want, but a large part of why D'Antoni is the head coach now is because Jim absolutely hates Phil. So much so that he tried very hard to get all things from the last five championships removed from the offices since it was "old news." Now granted, I think a large part of why Phil was willing to come back was to stick it to Jim as well, which is why it wouldn't have worked out anyways, in my opinion. Too much personal, not enough business. Kupchak is running the day to day basketball operations with Jim ultimately holding the final decision cards. Jerry only gets involved when Mitch and John Black knock on his door long and loud enough that he has to roll off of a playmate or two and clean the Laker sheets after Jim **** in them.
Someone needs to tell Heat announcer Tony Fiorentino that if he's going to call Lebron "LBJ" on air he needs to not make it sound like "El BJ". I swear I thought he was calling him "The blowj*b all game against Houston.
Kemba Walker is cold blooded. He stopped Minnesota from maybe coming back from 15 down to drain a shot with .7 left.
Sooo am I the only one wondering why Blake G. looks like he is about to collapse from exhaustion like twenty seconds after the tip. He's all sweaty and like gasping and the game just started. Is he always that messed up looking?
No defense at all. Early in the game LA wasn't even attempting to rotate on the extra passes. Both teams picked it up little towards the end of the half. Lots of sloppy offense too.
Hes not trash, he just doesnt fit with the current configuration of the Knicks. Last year with Chandler on the court he shot 38% but with Chandler off the court he was at 47%. The problem with amare is he has to be a 5 on offense where he can use his strength to overpower 4's and his speed to beat 5's. He cant do that with the Knicks cause Chandler occupies the same space. Spacing is a big problem for him and the Knicks when he is out there. Amare's career high % of blocked shots against isnt cause he lacked explosion like some like to believe but rather because Chandler couldnt draw his defender far enough away from the paint and Amare's shots were often blocked by a help defender who didnt respect Chandler's J (rightfully so). Its the same problem Randolph for example often has with Gay and Gasol in Memphis. My other suggestions are just that. If you were Dallas and had a chance to get 5 years younger and get a good player out of a situation where he doesnt fit while giving a star who had been loyal to your organization would you not consider it if Dirk asked you for it? If you knew you couldnt resign Josh Smith you wouldnt consider putting Amare next to Horford considering your offense sputters frequently and Smith is a FA? Not that outrageous imo. But again, all they are is suggestions.
Amare can't play defense and at this point he has the injury bug. The Lakers wouldn't trade Gasol for him. IF Gasol gets moved it will be for role players/cap relief. Dallas will never trade Dirk. Dirk will retire a Mav. Atlanta could do a trade but I think it makes more sense stockpiling picks and young talent than to get overrated Amare at this point. Knicks should just bring Amare off the bench. Carmelo goes out Amare comes in. The 2 should never be on the court at the same time.
When Jim Buss looked at Shaw, he saw Phil Jackson. No way in hell he hires one of Phil's pupils. Not sure about the Adelman bypass though. Chalk it up to Buss not knowing basketball. Bt if you are insinuating that this means the Lakers would get hustled in a trade, you may want to look at recent history. Mitch Kupchak, despite what he says, has a magic wand.
They really don't give two craps about the regular season do they? D Wade still doesn't look good which bothers me a bit.
You cant bring a 20M a year player off the bench when said 20M a year player is the 2nd highest scoring PF currently active after Dirk. Plus its not his pairing with Carmelo thats problematic; he shot 49.9% after the melo trade in 2010-2011 before Chandler arrived. Those two can play together. The only thing they can try and do is limit his minutes with Tyson but they cant do much with that either because Tyson is a huge part of why the Knicks lead in every major defensive stat right now and jumped up in every stat last year. Its not a coincidence. I didnt realize just how great he is on defense until watching him. I tend to agree with your thoughts; I was just suggesting which players compliment Melo/Tyson and IF they came available which make sense. How plausible they are is a different story. I think Dirk is more plausible then any of them personally because it would allow Dallas to start retooling which you cant do around a 34 year old while allowing the Knicks to keep 2015 100% cap cleared.
They care enough to have one more win than the #3 seed in the east. It seems that they really care about being the #2 seed, because each year, they stopped playing once they locked that up. Wade looks fine. He just aggravated the foot he injured in Houston.
Dirk could not be a worse fit for the Knicks. His game is too similar to Melo's and that would make your front line a sieve that would foul out TC in the first half of every game. Your best bet is to look for a wing player. Maybe try to get Gerald Wallace and a pick out of BK.
Dirk's similarity to Melo is what makes him appealing imo. They both can play offense from anywhere on the floor and from possession to possession drive defenses crazy. Having two players like that on one team is absolutely impossible to deal with defensively. Just look at your Heat. Wade and Lebron arent too different offensively now that Lebron has a post game like Wade had for years. Sure Lebron is a better passer and rebounder but in terms of the ways they looks to score, its primarily by getting to the hoop and the foul line. Similar story with Dirk and Carmelo. Dirk would maintain spacing offensively while having the ability to play inside when Melo is playing outside and vice-versa. Its the exact opposite of how Amare plays the 4 and exactly why Amare needs to be a 5 offensively. Even the first half of the 2010 before the Melo deal Amare saw a ton of time at the 5 because the NYK had no true C that year; the closest thing they had was Mozgov. Also if Melo is going to play defense the way he has this year hustling and actually trying to defend its a lot more plausible imo. If the NYK retain Brewer and Iman keeps developing as a PG thats another scenario under which its passable. Couldnt have Shumpert playing PG full time but in spurts that could be a ridiculous defensive backcourt. Cant take advantage of Dirk on D if you cant get in the paint lol. Wallace isnt a bad idea but he cant play the 4, is always hurt, and I wouldnt want Melo playing the 4 either at 6'8 and down 15lbs. He'll wear down. But the idea of getting a wing player is one of the reasons I suggested Josh Smith who actually can play PF so its not too far off base. More importantly, the last time the Knicks and Nets made a deal was like 20 years ago so it'll never happen.
Forget about Josh Smith. That's a pipe dream. I don;t see the comparison. You can run 2/3 and 2/4 P&R's with Wade and Bron. You can't with Melo and Dirk. Both Wade and Bron are good ball handlers, so it makes their offensive fit much better. Dirk and Melo need a setup. It will be clunky at best, and a disaster at worse.
Again, while its probably a pipe dream, Smith would be a much better fit then Wallace. Wallace's size makes him a square peg in a round hole. I didnt expect you to see the comparison. But any Knick fan who watches every/most games would see the comparison just like Im sure you could tell me things about the Heat I wouldnt see in the 2x a month or so I watch them. The Knicks havent been using very much PnR except with Felton/Tyson. Its been a lot of penetrate and dish and just good ball movement because their using Kidd at the 2 20 minutes a night til Shumpert gets back and if shumpert were to take on that role, which hes capable of, then its an offense that Dirk and Melo could certainly co-exist in. Its lead to a lot of open 3's which is why the Knicks have 5 players in the top 50 in 3 point %: http://www.nba.com/statistics/playe...itScope=GAME&qualified=Y&yearsExp=-1&splitDD=. I believe the opposite of what you think in this case...Dirk would have a field day in this offense.
I don't see it. Dirk is the best High P&R big in basketball. Melo is a terrible P&R player. You have to run offense for one or the other. it reduces the one that is not involved into a spot up shooter. It was my argument for why Nash would be a failure in LA.
Jason Kidd catches fire, Knicks comeback despite only 9 points from Melo. I like this team a lot, deep...experienced, savvy.
Also Melo was very good on D and contributed 12 rebs. Offense has been under 13 TO's every game, 7 tonight. Coaching staff runs wind sprints every game under 13. Tyson matched Duncan tonight..very impressive Most of all Felton was as good as Parker and kept us in it much of the night til the Knicks woke up in the 4th. JR and Kidd were big time again.
These uni's Denver has on tonight in the Heat game are blinding. Id post them but I dont want you guys to witness it if you arent watching. Theyre as bright a yellow as a fresh Crayola yellow and they have the 80's nugget design. Im surprised the Heat are able to shoot with them on. Ban them Stern.
Lebron aint happy the way Faried is owning inside. Luckily those 3s dropping. Should be blowing denver out right now
THE HEAT DID IT! The greatest win in the history of regular season NBA basketball. (and it belongs to the Heat) The trend is now 42...and........1 39 and....4....Against the spread.
Oh...and I lost $250..but I don't give a ****...it was worth it...I took BK to beat the Celtics, and got back more than half of it. Good god do I love the oddsmakers that are so in love with the Celtics. So I will take my $125 loss and be happy.
