I can't understand how Long has gone for best in the league to what we see now. He is getting beat, abused, and looks like a shell of himself with pass protection. He can still grade on run, but the performance of him as a whole has been terrible.
Tannehill can't hold the ball for more than 1 second because he has a bunch of a holes falling around him. They can't run either. This o line needs to be ashamed being pushed around like this. We can't run a route longer than 3 yards.
He's not getting beaten in the passing game pretty much at all. He got blown up by Shawne Merriman inexplicably, but it has nothing to do with that. Pass protection isn't even that bad in this game. Jonathan Martin is playing pretty much like you'd expect him to, but the problem is more Tannehill and the receivers dropping passes than anything.
He has been getting beat all season. http://www.rantsports.com/nfl/2012/11/05/jake-long-gets-bullied-in-dolphins-loss-to-colts/
The talk on Buffalo has been how they overpayed for that Defensive line and how they haven't done anything and we're making them look like super stars tonight.
You're wrong? I don't know what to tell you. Jonathan Martin has been getting his *** kicked in pass protection and the run blocking has been bad.
LAWL! Disgustipate really said that? I guess all those times Long has gotten beat, blown up, and pushed back in the first half didn't really happen. It's pointless to argue with him by the way. It's far better to just put him on ignore.
Martin is the biggest problem. But they are all pretty pathetic as a unit at run blocking and pass protecting.
At what point is it okay to acknowledge we have an athletic, rookie QB who is a statue in the pocket? The defense exactly where Tannehill is going to be and don't have to worry at all about adjusting. After watching Luck move around in the pocket when under pressure two weeks ago it is easy to see this has been a dual effort of the OL and QB.
Good point. I'm also starting to worry about Tannehills pocket awareness and mobility. I still believe this O Line is a huge failure.
