I think Carroll saw that DCarp made the kick after Philbin iced him a few weeks back… lol

Im kinda more surprised by the d. I mean it took them long enough on that drive to step up. The d was in a funk. The o had just scored a td. And was moving the ball well. The fact that the d held them there is a socket. And maybe them being more rested thanks to that special team td actually was a blessing.

Yeah. It seemed like Tannehill started looking deeper down field and making better throws, as well, Bess was fired up the rest of the day.

Good point. Our offense had been getting in a groove late and Wilson seemed to be getting hotter and hotter. The D did bow their backs and stop them when they were about 6 yards from makeable FG range. I change my vote to the D stopping them. :)

Somewhere in the USA, while watching the game on his widescreen TV, one Pete Stoyanovich was flashing the choke sign to one Pete Carroll.

Of course we could argue that seattle stopped themselves but that would be sadistic

Philbin tried to ice Carpenter? Wouldn't that be a first? Icing your own kicker?

    I think 1) reggie reggied
    2) they showed more faith in dt
    3) the o-line didn't o-line
    4) d took over when needed.
    5) tanny was calm on the final drive and didn't just check down.

I'd love to get Zach Ertz of Stanford. He looks better than Coby Fleener to me.

I think the coaching staff did three intelligent things:

    1) Didn't abandon the run and turn the game over to Tannehill on the drive after they went down 14-7.
    2) Managed the clock well late in the 4th quarter.
    3) Played to win and let Tannehill let 'er rip on that final drive.

I'll take Tim Ryan every time. Too bad we can't get a Gus Johnson/Tim Ryan pairing for every game.

I'm 99% sure Jason Garrett iced his own kicker at the end of a game. Pretty sure the kicker made the first then missed after the timeout for the loss. Could have the wrong coach though.

For the most part, I liked the announcers better too. Always thought Tim Ryan was one of the better analysts. Generally, linemen do make the better analysts IMO.

Tannehill more than doubled his total season rush yards in this game. I think his willingness to tuck the ball away and take off down the field was a big part of his overall success. Each scramble seemed to come at critical times.

Not saying he did it on purpose but he did it and DCarp made the 2nd kick after missing the first

I think a lot of that is because his leg is feeling a lot better than it has the 2 previous weeks.

That is all I wanted this season. A quarterback where the defense at least has to think, "be careful, he may run for 15 yards."

He doesn't get a ton of looks because of the offense (and QBs), and he comes from a school I hate, but I think Jake Stoneburner could be really good (and good value).

Who was it arguing with me about west coast teams traveling east earlier in this season? The trend holds.

Great win, nice to see the team do well even with a massive built-in advantage.

Great job by Tannehill. He was due for a win like this. His pocket presence was outstanding today

Missed the game today unfortunately, was driving back from the Penn State vs. Wisconsin game yesterday (Miami needs to seriously think about Gerald Hodges if they aren't already). I managed to catch the game on the radio from Washington's kickoff return through Carp's winner.

How did Tannehill play today? Tony Boselli was one of the radio announcers and said that he was impressed how well Miami ran on Seattle and how well they bottled up Marshawn Lynch.

Any form of summary would be much appreciated as the announcers made the game sound like a snoozer up until the 4th quarter.

    Well away from here
Big thing for me today was how Tannehill manipulated the pocket better than he has been the last few games at the least. He climbed the pocket when necessary and helped his O-line out considerably. He also broke containment when it was there. It doesn't have to be for twenty yards every time, but a scramble here or there for 5-6 yards is still a good play. Overall his movement within the pocket was much, much better today. Some of his best throws came when he did in fact step up, rather than tucking it, he bought time, stayed cool and made some plays.

He did make some rookie mistakes, like throwing across his body in the red zone. But, that's what you get from rookies; they grow in some areas, then they bring up something else to point out.

Also, aside from looking pitiful on the sack Jake gave up to Clemons, I thought he was much, much better in the 2nd half.
