Probably won't start playing till Monday with all the Thanksgiving football happening.... but at 2 bucks/day I can wait.
Yep, stickin'it to the 'lil 13 year old twerps who usually keep these things for like a month on daddy's dime.... and I feel good about it.

I bought the game on launch, as with you I have been waiting years for another Hitman game. I started on the PS2 with Silent Assassin, then to the PC for Contracts and Blood Money...replayed all 3 games several times...To me it is the king of the genre, splinter cell and MGS have their own shine to them, but Hitman has always stood alone in my eyes.

I encourage you to tweak with the settings to find the right difficulty...they have added in some options even outside of the easy-normal-hard-expert-purist settings you choose from the start. I have a few gripes with the game like them shedding the old safehouse/weapon loadout mechanics...and the new disguise system definitely takes some getting used to(many people are disappointed this system far worse than me).

The greatest elements of this series is playing through a level, learning the AI behavior of your targets and finding great ways to take them out. This is still the core gameplay function, and I will say first hand from playing it on Expert(waiting to do purist later on) that those who want to just rampage through a level using overt confrontation...even that is not so easy in hitman unless you set difficulty low for an easier play through.

I have been a major fan of the hitman series for a long time. Replayed the games over and over, and I gotta say Absolution will be first Hitman I probably won't replay, I liked the sandbox levels and this new one it's a good action game / stealth but it's not the Hitman I loved anymore. It's more like the child of hitman series, and splinter cell.

I agree. I couldn't get into it quite the same as the past..... but I'm only at the strip club part trying to figure out how to get a lap dance so maybe it'll pick up a little more as the game goes on..... or until I get my twenty bucks worth. :shifty:

After some more research after I got the game to see why it went so off trail. I missed the news that the kayne and lynch team was making the new Hitman not the original team. So that explains a lot. So I don't know probably will wait for next game see if they fix it, but if they continue down the same road I will probably be done. Will wait for thief 4 for my next sandbox stealth see if they live up lol.

I am enjoying this big time. Story is ok, but the boards and missions have been really cool. Damn these awesome football games, I want to get back to playing!!!

I bought this game. Gonna take me 6 months to finish it because I'm obsessed with getting the highest score possible on each level
