***Week 13 Game Thread: Patriots at Dolphins***

IMO it is not a talent thing, it is a professionalism thing.

Far 2 many dolphins choke, imo I'd purge my roster of each and every one of them and replace them with pro's

 

Too many mistakes made on all sides.

ST with the bad snap and running into the punter.
D with the Welker TD and bad clutch Run D.
O with the inconsistent run game and bad Passing game and penalties.

D was the best out of the pack. Offseason better be great.

 

It's called discipline.

 

Marino and Brady combined wouldn't play like stars with dumb and dumber at WR.

 

This is basically the same team the Dolphins have been for the past four years. The offense scores just enough to keep the game close for three quarters. The defense plays tough for three quarters and then falls apart in the fourth quarter. It may be a different coaching staff, but unfortunately the roster is still filled with a group of players who are very mediocre and can't get the job done in the clutch.

It doesn't matter if they lost by only seven points. Because when it came right down to it, they found a way to LOSE. Same old Dolphins.

 

Well. We did not get blown out of the building. Defense was good but the offense lives and dies on the shoulders of a rookie quarterback who will be inconsistent. No running game and poor pass protection leads to this result.

He has a MAJOR test next week. I just hope he survives.

 

Meanwhile, Luck's offense putting up points again. 3 TDs.

And Marino er al would have hit Brian on the deep TD, or on the deep sideline, or on the Underthrow to the deep side zone window.

Three passes where Hartline could have had 100 yards and a TD or two

 

It's Tannehill, not the receivers.

 

Not enough draft picks too do that.

Gotta admit, I'm pretty jealous of both Luck and RGIII, though I'm not sure that RGIII can sustain success. Russell Wilson has looked pretty solid as well.

Tannehill needs to start throwing some touchdown passes. Only 7 and the season is 3/4s complete.

We played great today I thought, we were expected to get blown out by many but we kept it close.

 

Marino would have shoved the ball into receivers facemask. But that's Marino. Small steps...small steps. We hung tough with NE! I've not got a prob with the score. We were outmatched talent wise and we hung in. I'm not too down.

But yeah you are right. Tannehill sucks. Dolphins need to draft a QB in the first round this year! BARKLEY? maybe suck for Johnny Football and have Tannehill be his backup, switch their roles from Texas A&M!

 

Some of you kill me RT didnt hit eevery pass butt hit many butt he sucked? Oh the d gives up a 7+ minute drive 1 scorre down but wee lost because of RT?

I wonder if thse blaming RT for all the ills were the ones who didnt wamt to draft him?

I'm watching Andrew Luck take the Colts down the field with no timeouts and with a chance to knock off Detroit.

No team plays great and loses a game. The Dolphins played good defense for three and a half quarters and then they totally collapsed in the closing minutes of the game. The offense scored just one TD today. No way can that be considered great. Special teams had an error when the punter dropped the ball and the Patriots turned this error into a TD. Special teams also turned the ball back over to the Patriots when Wilson ran into the punter.

While I will admit I expected the Patriots to win by a larger score. I really didn't see anything GREAT in the play of the Dolphins today. The game is four quarters long and many of these Dolphins on defense seem to stop playing, once the game is on the line in the fourth quarter.

 

Sparano just had to win those games before leaving town...

No Rt wasntt lights out todday but ST didnt help. Defensegiving up 8 min drive didnt help

You can point out bad play all you want rt wasnt great but pointing it out and saying he cost us the game is stupid. The miscues by the whold team cost us the game. To say otherwise is ignorant. Thst doesnt mean i think rt played great it means football is an accumulation of plays not a handfull.

 

Right way too many missed opportunities in all 3 phases

 

Yeah i forgot he didnt hit clutch passes last drive that had we not allowed a score on defense coul have been to tie not get w/i 1 score

 

Mathews a good pass h wasnt wide open. He had a couple drops, bess stalled a drive by going bacwards instead of heading north.

You can put it on RT all you want it just isnt all on him like many want to say
