Oh gee you've been a fan since 1970? So you got to see the team win two Superbowls and go to another right? Got to watch Dan Marino set all kinds of records while on the way to the hall of fame? Forgive me if I don't feel bad for you as a fan. I was 10 when Marino retired and I don't remember much of when he played. My fan experience really started in the Jay Fiedler era. The first Jersey I ever bought was Ricky Williams when I was 13/14, and he promptly retired the next year. I've known nothing but disappointment from this franchise. If I can still find a way to watch this team year in and year out then I'm sure someone who has such great memories of the Dolphins can.
You're right I have seen the 'Phins during some of their greatest years, which makes it even more painful to watch them go through this year after year. I KNOW they can be better. I feel like an old Cubs fan that lived over 100 years only to watch the Cubs crash and burn since. I can respect how the older Red Sox fans felt when they finally broke through (eventhough I'm a Yankee fan). It's so much pain watching a team you know and love be mediocre or worse every year. For you, you've yet to experience the feeling as they lift the shiny Lombardi. I'll be there with you when they do again...but I just have to express the anger and pain of waiting "until next year" AGAIN

What did you really expect this season? Although the Dolphins won't admit it the team is rebuilding. I sure hope you didn't buy into that media hype that went down after our short winning streak. Also it's time to take down the Ronnie Brown stuff. The guy was mediocre.
I just don't understand how we didn't go from 6 wins, adding a new coaching staff and rookie QB and didn't go 12-4? (yes, that's sarcasm)
I started watching the dolphins when I was around 12 (22 now) and im starting to wonder if they'll ever be great in my life time. Who knows maybe next year?
I like where we are but damnit there were a lot of games this year we let slip away because of carelessness. I like that the Dolphins are more aggressive than I've seen them in awhile. No more of this go 95 yrds and kick a field goal stuff. I think we will be like the SF 49ers in a year or two (they went from the bottom of the barrel to the top). J. Harbaugh was coach of the year last year for a reason. Our problem is we share the AFC with the NE Patriots. I tell people all the time, we use to RULE the AFC.
beautiful i love poetry so here is some more poetry. roses are red , violets are blue but when the fins win I drink for joy . and when they wear the all whites they are slow as turtles . there was once a team that could could score more then 14 points but they got rid of their offensive threats and replaced them with duds .
