Having a hard time deciding who to start in my Flex position. Here are the candidates:

1.) WR Danario Alexander - Home against Cincinnati (not on injury report, but suffered a thigh bruise that could slow him some this week; practiced fully Wednesday and so on... Bengals allow 218.4 passing yards per game)
2.) WR Cecil Shorts - Away at Buffalo; listed as probable (missed practice Thursday due to a hammy, worried about starting a speed player with a hammy tweak. Practiced fully Friday... Buffalo allows 233.3 passing yards per game)
3.) WR Dwayne Bowe - Home against Panthers (he's only had 2 games this entire season over 10 points... Panthers allow 220.9 passing yards per game)
4.) HB Shonn Greene - Home against Cardinals (he's only had 3 games this entire season over 10 points... Cardinals allow 124.2 rushing yards per game)
5.) HB Jonathan Dwyer- Away at Ravens (He will get the start, but I don't like that he is part of a committee... Ravens allow 128.5 rushing yards per game)

    Thanks guys!!

I need help with my Flex too
I need to start out of these 3

Heyward-bey vs Cle who put up a goose egg for me last week
    Bess vs Pats so inconsistent
Antonio Brown vs Balt first week back from injury and Charlie batch throwing him the ball.

I went Schaub and Alexander. My instinct about Schaub was good as he was the safer play...romo may get more points this game but Im up by 62 with nicks still left vs alfred Morris and Miles Austin

I went with Romo. They're both at the same point total (give or take) and I'm going to lose regardless. I started Blackmon over Mike Williams/Brian Hartline/Lance Moore which hurt me... as well as Jordy Nelson leaving the game early. 30+ points from my QB, 30-35 points from RBs, 10 points from TE... and 10-11 points from my WRs.

Can we turn last year's ThePhins league into a keeper league? :shifty:

I wouldn't mind having my lineup back of:

    QB- Matt Ryan
    WR- Cobb
    WR- Marshall
    WR- Cruz
    TE- Gronkowski
    RB- Foster
    RB- Ryan Matthews
    Flex- AJ Green
    Flex- Dez (and Maclin)

Now that I look at it, you guys must've hated facing that team. :p

Forte is a no brainer imo.

I grabbed Tampa's D vs Philly this week cause of the matchup...Philly's O allows the most points to DEF.

Romo @ Cincy or Schaub @ NE - Leaning Schaub...
Amendola @ Buffalo (if healthy) or Steve Smith vs ATL or Andre Roberts @ Seattle - Leaning Smith if Amendola isnt healthy.

Thanks for the response! You really think Forte is a no brainer? To me, he's the safer play but Moreno has been getting lots of touches and I expect the Broncos to be up early in that game and running a lot. It's also a great matchup. And Forte has not been so hot lately.

Rams is the best D on waivers. Would you start them over Ravens or Chargers?

I like Schaub in a potential shoot out...

Ppr Amendola if healthy, if non ppr or Danny out?? Steve Smith.

    My playoff dilemma.

One WR slot opposite Julio. Non ppr

1.) Mike Wallace (Ben likely back)
    2.) Denario Alexander
    3.) Miles Austin

Yeah to me Forte is a no brainer. Certain backs it just doesnt matter the matchup I take my chances and Forte is one of those backs. He is capable of factoring in the passing game even if he gets stuffed in the run game. Wouldnt trust the Rams. Ravens would be the betetr play over SD. Washington coming off an emotional game may let down...better chance of that happening imo than getting consistent play from St Louis. If you want another good option most people wont think of: Cleveland vs KC. Clevelands been playing physical low scoring games and forcing lots of TO's

Austin. I have Alexander in my league but Pitt's D has been great lately and is #1 vs the pass (weird since their corners are slightly above suck). Wallace is tempting but if Ben gets hurt in game the idea of starting him with Grandpa Charlie at QB is nauseating. Austin's probably the safest play.

I'd go with Romo just because he's hot right now and back in the playoff race, while Shaub is really a hit or miss, but it is nice to have a Monday night player. And I'd go Smith over the others as well.

This is probably my biggest fantasy match-up ever lol, so I would really appreciate any advice. Its for the playoffs and I'm playing my boy who has the same record as me and we made a side bet about who will have a better record. We have also been talkin smack all year lol so...

    I have to start 2:

    Mike Williams @ Philly

    Brian Hartline @ San Fran

    Brandon Lloyd @ Houston

Golden Tate @ Arizona (don't think I'm playing him but just picked him up)

    T-Rich against KC
    Bryce Brown @TB
    Demarco Murray @Cin

TRich is a lock and is my horse this year....

Should I go with BB who is lighting it up fantasy wise and is the only real option they have, or D-Mo would just came back an is looking strong....

Romo vs Cincinnati or Newton vs Atlanta?

Pretty much this and my depleted WR corp is killing me (M.Williams, L.Moore, and C.Givens looking like my starters with S.Johnson and J.Nelson sitting and D.Jackson on IR). I need to win to get the final seed of the playoffs (4 teams, bleh).

Williams @ Philly for one. That one is a certainty with Philly's DB's playing like crap. There two others I like more then any of your remaining choices and you'll want to check on the availability of them....Andre Roberts vs Seattle (Browner is suspended and the other CB will get Fitz) and Josh Gordon vs KC. If neither is available then Lloyd, Tate, Hartline in that order.

Richardson and Murray. Tampa has the top ranked run d. Too big a spot to take a chance on Brown even with a hot hand.

Ugh talk about a very possible "crap the bed" opportunity! Newton I guess but only cause I can see Romo throwing a 3 int game...hasnt had one of those beauties in a while. And of course since I say that he will throw 4 TD. Still, reluctantly Newton is my choice.

I'll play Devil's advocate to Boik. I'd go with Bryce Brown. I know Tampa has a good run D, but Cowboy's run defense wasn't half bad either. He's playing too well right now to bench. Especially for a guy who has been injured and inconsistent this season.

As much as I appreciated the advice from you guys, luckily we rolled with Moreno. Of course, Forte could always have a bigger game, but I'll take 119 and a TD with 48 receiving any day.

Brandon Meyers **** the bed bad though... :pity:

Lloyd hasn't done a thing this year, but he AND the Pats offense is one tricky animal....you have to plug ANY Pat in except Welker and Gronk and expect to either get nothing or 2 TDs. It is just the way that offense rolls.

Patrick Peterson will get Tate imo...dont like that for you. Lloyd is a better call as houstons secondary is nicked up and 19th vs pass. Roberts has skelton starting so if plays imo thats a coin toss between he and Lloyd with roberts a slight edge in ppr formats

    Bowe/Ballard/Allen.

Bowe because even though he will draw Haden, KC will be playing from behind.
Ballard because Donald Brown is out and Shonn Green is in a full time share with Bilal Powell that he seems to be losing.
Allen because Chicago's OL sucks. He will meet Cutler a few times even though the Bears will win easy imo
