    couldn't agree more.

Moore didn't even have to jump to get to the ball IMO.
He overreacted and it was one reason he dropped it.
That pass was right on the money.

I actually like Hartline and Bess a lot.

And I do also think Tannehill isn't playing as well as RG3, Luck, or Wilson, but I don't think he's playing anywhere near as bad as some people suggest.

that is pretty much the consensus around texas but only fin fans that love that Crimson color kool aide will keep on pimping the worst qb from the conference.

Nobody is really pimping him, dude. But nobody is unjustly crucifying him either.

How about we debunk your assumption and do this:

Pick any QB in the league. Anyone you want.

    Insert Tanne here:

Is the team even remotely as good as with the other QB

Bet a million dollars the answer is no

Hell no.... Been on the fire Ireland bandwagon for 2 years. He hit a few timesbut missed a lot of talent at positions of major need.

His drafts are a lot like buying a $20 scratch off ticket and winning $20. Yeah you hit and didn't lose, but your still no better off than you were before.

If Tannehills play is as good as we can expect we are screwed. It's going to be a long winding road ahead.

You are only as good as the team around you. He's not just one player out there sucking up the field. I can count 11 just on offense alone. Our line stinks. If your line stinks than your RB and QB and WR's all have the stench of rotting pooh. We have a ton of talent and nobody can get it together. It all starts with the line. A good line can make even the worst QB's look good (ahem.....Trent Dilfer).

Here's a quote from a recap WalterFootball.com did about the game.

"Ryan Tannehill played well once again, but he doesn't have the talent around him to help put Miami over the top. The offensive line allowed way too much pressure and the receivers were pitiful. He had a third-quarter deep ball that was slightly overthrown, but still should've been caught by Marlon Moore for a huge gain. The drive still ended well as Tannehill hooked up with Anthony Fasano for a touchdown on fourth-and-goal. Fasano (2-9) made a tremendous reception as he laid out for a diving one-handed catch along the sideline.

Tannehill's final drives were shut down. He finished 17-of-33 for 150 yards with a score and zero interceptions. Tannehill played better than his stats indicate against one of the best defenses in the NFL. Davone Bess (5-50), Reggie Bush (14-65 rushing, 5-38 receiving) and Brian Hartline (2-34) were kept out of the end zone."

I think what's also getting a bit lost is that not only did Tannehill have only 19 starts in college, but he was a friggin' WR for a couple of years before that.

I think Ryan has the smarts, make-up and arm to succeed in this league. Many of the issues he's having are ones that seemingly can be cleaned up with time, repetition and better talent surrounding him.

He's looking like it. Rave reviews out of Cleveland. Granted, they probably have more cohesive offensive talent overall. I'm just bereft of words after looking at the rest of the league and...well you know the story lol.

Apt description. But I think it's more like a $20 scratch off that wins you $18. A slow but sure journey to bankruptcy.

If the Dolphins had to give up a 2nd round pick to get him, sure. However first round would be very hard to swallow.

I like Tannehill. I think it is inappropriate to compare him to the first two drafted qbs. Tannehill is catching up with the experience factor each of them brought to the table. I think he will be fine. I would draft that wr Tannehill had at A&M that is kind of like a slot guy and rb. Forgot his name.

It's true. There are things that make him different, such as less experience, and so they are better and may have a higher chance of being NFL successes. We should ignore those differences and how they show up. Also, any idfferences in their ability, or arms, or mechanics would make one better than the other and it wouldn;t be fair to compare the one who is better suited to play well i the NFL to the one who may be less well suited. We should not point out the reasons they do better or worse than one another. Inappropriate.

Heck, if Luck and RGIII end up winning Superbowls and Tannehill has a career 78 QB rating and never gets into the playoffs, it wouldn;t be appropriate to compare them because they are on different teams too, so who knows who is better, really?

I mean, this whole idea of players being better or worse than each other is kind of inappropriate. I think all players should be drafted in an unnumbered, no rounds system. Why say one is better, whatever the reason, or has a better chance of succeeding.

    Good point.

Doesn't really matter who we selected, I guess. I'll remember that on Sundays.

To be fair, Brian Hartline makes spectacular catches along the sidelines pretty regularly. Even Bess makes fantastic catches every now and then.

But yes, your point is still valid. We need guys who can get into the endzone from anywhere.

I'm going to be banging the Mike Wallace drum all off-season.

What happens when Henne throws 3 TD's this weekend and then Mallett plays on the 30th and throws a TD or two and this offense continues on it's pace? I'm fine with Tannehill. I like Bess AND Hartline, but I see and understand their limitations. There's just so much that needs to be done and so many players need to be added.

I agree. They do. The problem isn't the amazing catches, though. They aren't explosive enough. Bess will make an incredible grab over the middle of the field but stumble two yards later. Hartline will make an incredible grab along the sidelines. We need a receiver who can do what we saw in the highlight video. I think that's Greg Jennings, personally. Would rather have him than Wallace.

And here is one of the issues, the reasons why they are doing those things is not a lack of talent, it is the ball is simply not hitting them in stride and on time.

This is one of the reasons why I'm pointing at Tannehill.

Esp in the EZ, the ball has to be well placed, when one watches THill down there it typically just is not.

Not really. He hit Moore in stride and he felt like diving instead.

He also hit Fasano for that TD where only he could catch it.

He def has his accurate moments on big throws and in the RZ. Not saying it's a given obv.

At the end of the day I think he's played well enough and show enough promise to be the starter next year but if we have a chance to get some good competition in the draft so be it. He hasn't proven that he's a no brainer elite Qb but we do have to recognize that we did not give him the talent he needs around him as well.

Also it's impossible to predict if either of the two first guys will win Super Bowl based on their first year in the league, so....
