How did they not even review that Duke TD? I'm pretty sure his knee was down when he picked up the ball.
Wow nice screw job going on here. First the Johnson TD pass where the ball hit the ground UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE WR that cost us points and now the obvious push off in the endzone on fourth down that doesn't get called. Oh and the phantom offsides penalty on the kickoff fumble we recovered. Plus POSSIBLY the early game TD where the QB picked up the bad snap with his knee right around the ground that wasn't even reviewed.
Thought this season would be a lot worse, not bad. Let's see if Morris can pull together an even better season next year. Eddie Johnson emerged as a great player, but is anyone worried about him staying out of trouble?
I swear if the NCAA gives us another bowl ban I'm going to flip my lid. This team is going to be even better on offense next season. Morris should have an injury free offseason to strengthen his game and our young offensive studs get a full college offseason to work in the system. I'm still worried about our defense. Hopefully we get some recruits along the DL that can contribute ASAP. I think we will be fine at LB and in the secondary though.
There's a couple JUCO guys who may be coming in. DT Lavon Hooks http://mississippi.scout.com/a.z?s=177&p=8&c=1&nid=6184143 OLB (Pass Rusher) Devante Bond http://jcfootball.scout.com/a.z?s=87&p=8&c=1&nid=6325226 And don't mind the 2* that's how scout ranks JUCO players Hooks is gonna be a close call it seems, but Bond looks solid right now. Not to mention Keith Bryant is currently committed and Jaynard Bostwick has a good shot at being a Cane. Both are DTs. Tim Williams is the lone DE they are recruiting right now and he looks solid to Miami as well, despite being in LSU territory (LSU hasn't offered). He will probably RS since he is rather small right now.
ha, that's what I was getting at. Seems to be more of an issue the past few years here. Leggett, AJL, Grooms. (2 of which didn't go prep)
And Alex Figueroa just committed. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Alex-Figueroa-115119 Went prep this past season. HS highlights.
KNIGHTON COMMITS TO CANES Canesport.com and InsidetheU.com have reported that 6-5, 265-pound DL/OL Hunter Knighton of the Hun School, in Princeton, committed tonight to play football at Miami. Knighton, rated as a three-star player, told CaneSport that UM recruited him as an offensive lineman, but that "if things don't work out they said I can definitely play defense.'' He said he is trying to enroll early, so he could participate in spring practice. Read more here: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/umia...ke-adds-to-treasure-trove-.html#storylink=cpy
Nice! We need o-lineman considering the amount of guys who will be gone after next season. I suspect Jermaine Grace will be the next commit. edit: he may also play d-line, which is just as vital.
Poor Bernie Kosar has really fallen off the wagon. He's broke, he's got a serious drinking problem and his daughter's a porn star. There's a five minute clip of a radio interview of him on this link. It sounds like 3am on a Saturday night. http://www.usatoday.com/story/gameo...rance-cleveland/1750929/?morestories=obinsite
Beau Sandland (TE), one of the top JUCO prospects this year is making his decision today at 11:30. It's between ASU and Miami. Swinging a kid across the country like this would be huge. He would make the offense next year infinitely better.
His name is Sunny, he's very large, he's from Nigeria and he's a future Hurricane Nigerian native Sunny Odogwu, 6-8 and listed by various websites as anywhere from 300 to 315 pounds, told recruiting services on Friday that he has committed to coach Al Golden and the University of Miami. An offensive tackle, Odogwu played last season at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va. He arrived in the United States when he was 16, and first played basketball at Huntington Prep in West Virginia. Odogwu told CaneSport, which first reported his commitment, that he expects to arrive on campus in January to be there in time for spring practice. Could be a big weekend for Miami (It was last year. Deon Bush and Tyriq McCord committed during the UA game.) Alquadin Muhammad will be announcing on Saturday. Many expect him to choose Miami. It would be an insane pull if he commits. Commits participating: Kevin Olsen, Artie Burns Current targets participating: Matthew Thomas, Denver Kirkland, Alquadin Muhammad, Tim Williams, Keith Bryant, Stacey Coley, Jordan Cunningham Also, the Semper Fidelis AA game will be held tomorrow. Targets Jermain Grace (most likely a Cane), Alex Collins, and LeVonte Whitfield (former commit) will be participating in that game. Ray Lewis III will be there as well. This class has the makings to be pretty awesome.
I want to say Miami, but Arkansas kind of worries me. Gran leaving FSU did help a ton, though. I just hope they can get him on an OV.
I only generally follow recruiting so I don't know a lot about these guys other than what random websites have to say. Any personal opinion on why it's so huge for us?
Canes land big commitment at U.S. Army All-American game The Miami Hurricanes picked up a huge commitment Saturday afternoon at the U.S. Army All-American game when defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad, a standout at Don Bosco Prep (N.J.), announced he'll be heading to Coral Gables. Tabbed the fourth-best weakside linebacker in the country by Rivals.com and the 97th-best prospect regardless of position, Muhammad (6-4, 225) had a sack and a forced a fumble he recovered in the first half of Saturday's all-star game in San Antonio. He picked up a second sack in the second half. Rivals.com's Mike Farrell calls Muhammad that "a tremendous edge rusher" who "can stand up, work in space." Muhammad chose the Hurricanes over Rutgers, Notre Dame and Alabama. Read more here: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/umia...-us-army-all-american-game.html#storylink=cpy
