You need to stop saying it then. Or please enlighten us on how you think the Wr's run shorter routes because of Ryan Tannehill. I'm dying to hear it...

Cant have competent QB play with crap at receiver and insufficient timing/chemistry. Do you understand how the QB position works, Pods? This isn't backyard football where you wait to see a guy get open and then throw it to him. :wink2:

Understand that this poster has stated that Tannehill is one of the players on this team he hates the most.

Somehow, one is under the mistaken impression if you repeat something that is incorrect enough, it will suddenly become correct.

tannehill does such a great job in the no huddle/up tempo offense, i dont understand why they do not do it more.

The Tannehill criticism is really just a crock of..... well you know. You can say he hasn't been extremely accurate all day, but to make any other conclusion than that is foolish.

Oh OK, and all this time, I thought it was the Offensives lines job to do that. Silly me :pointlol:

I do think Tannehill has a long ways to go but to blame the routes on him is pretty different...lol

Good to see Tannehill wake up on that last drive. And to me it all started with Thigpen's catch on third and long. Huge play to get him going.

Has Hartline caught a pass? Does he even have a target? Ouch.

Dolphins keep walking off the field with an injury.

We are somewhat fortunate to be up by 7. Jags making dumb mistakes on their would be td drive. The penalty on the 3rd OT and a poor sneak.

We don't match up well offensively with the Jags... if we are to run the ball, they are good at stopping the run apparently. And our passing game has to be the difference maker.

Great play call on the TD pass to Lane... Sherman deserves a pat on the back there.

You can protect with shorter routes and hope they make something happen.

But their leverage is wrong for that to happen, like a 2 yd route to Fasano..where is that going?

I think every single play should be able to be reviewed. They won't do it though because of the time restraints for live television.

Anybody see that scrub James Jones catch 2 touchdown passes so far? Only 11 this season. That's only more than Hartline for his career.

Because Tannehill has a tendency to throw into triple coverage.

That has nothing to do with it being the Qb's fault though. In the begining of games they sometimes call plays to help the Qb gain some confidence but when we're seeing as much as we are it is because the time the Qb is getting to throw the ball. The shorter routes are more to do with having TWO new offensive Tackles than Ryan Tannehill.

No Bubba, he does not do that, what he rarely does is go vertical b/c he's not very good at so doing in his young career.

    But do try again.

Yeah but it's 2 TDs in Green Bay's system. It doesn't count. TDs are inherently easier in that system :shifty:

One last shot at it Oz:

OCord's actually do call plays designed to limit exposure of the Qb's weaknesses, for example in this game as I've seen it, Tannehilll has thrown 1 pass that traveled 15 yds in the air, to Thigpen, otherwise it is all curls and hooks and short outs.

    #1 Blackmon
    #2 Laurent Robinson
    #3 Shorts
    #4 Shippley
    #5 Taylor Price (3rd rounder)

They have enough talent at WR to cut Mike Thomas, who's like a faster version of Davone Bess.... and even he was a liability when having to start at split end b/c Jax had no one else to play the position and allow Thomas to move inside to slot where he belonged. We've had a slow slot receiver starting at split for most of the year; that's how bad it is. Now we have a 7th round rookie starting at split end with a rookie running back in the slot.

No, think we would have been a playoff team not a SB contender per se, unless we went on a run in the playoffs.

Why does Hartline ALWAYS fall down after a catch?
