There are only 30 receivers in the league? So some teams start 0 receivers every week?

I'd guess there are at least 70 starting WR in the league as some teams start with 3. So only 15 reaching 1000 yards is pretty ****ing respectable.

I don't get all the Hartline bashing, he is what he is. A reliable, move the chains receiver who falls over a lot.

 

most of us want Tannehill to succeed, the issue is patience. Everyone needs to embrace it. He is not a generational player like Andrew Luck, it is going to take time.

The occurrence of 2 1,000 yard receivers is still rare. Most teams only have 1 1,000 yard receiver per season. Their number 1. Half of the number 1's in the league have 1,000 yards.

 

God I wish we had Andrew Luck.

 

Early in the game the Jags were getting quick pressure on him. So yeah, they shortened the routes to stop him from getting killed. All these routes are part of a west coast offense though. It will help him in the future but they need to keep him protected more.

 

We should've tanked last year on purpose like indy

 

I'm not the biggest Hartline fan, but the he did have a nice game- efficient and a nice long completion. Can't fault him for that, he showed up and contributed. I hate the games where he just kind of disappears, this isn't one of them. Then again, Bess is out and WR options are even more limited than usual. But a good game from Hartline nonetheless.

 

Wouldn't matter. We don't have the WRs that his team has. He'd be just as bad if not worse.

 

We all do. We have what we have, a developmental quarterback who has some high ceiling potential but will look terrible at times.

 

Which is still pretty good for a guy some are claiming should be a #3 or #4.

 

No you're right... Hartline would start ahead of a high 1st round receiver, the 2nd year stud Cecil Shorts (824 yards 8 TDs), and a $32 million FA acquisition who caught 11 TDs last year. I get you want to support your own team, but cmon. You make it nearly impossible to not act like a troll on the subject.

 

I'm happy with Tannehill over Luck, just feel like he has to develop.

Watched the same stuff with Travis Lulay in BC, his first yr he struggled, next yr MOP and great this past yr, it is a process.

 

Blackmon has had a rough rookie season.

 

You'd still have posters on this board telling you he is not the future because of how many INTs he throws.

Not when he's one of only two legitimate WR's on the entire team. Our own coaching staff admits they can't justify taking him or Bess off the field for extended time.

You're actually serious with this, too. That's the best part. They wouldn't have signed Robinson had they had Hartline. And Shorts was nothing before this season. He wouldn't have started ahead of Hartline.

Can't wait until we extend Hartline.

 

What an effort to try and get his feet down.

 

This is the best officiating crew we have seen all year. Not just because of that call, they have been excellent all day.

Hey Anonymous, Brian Hartline's play suffered with Chad Henne throwing to him. How has Cecil Shorts gotten 7 TD's (more than Hartline's career) and 800+ yards this season with Henne and Gabbert? Bear in mind that he's actual had to beat out Blackmon and Robinson for catches.

 

Cam Wake can do it all....accept catch interceptions. Lol.
