I just hope we are in that situation.... it would be great for us to see Tannehill go thru that. After the 49ers beat the Pats today, maybe NE will be locked into that #3 seed next week. The ultimate sign of disrespect would be to deliberately lose to us in week 17 knowing they can beat us in the first round no matter what. heh...

BTW, the way the Chargers played today, we probably need the Jets to lose Monday night against the Titans because I don't see San Diego going to the East coast and beating the Jets next week... let alone showing up for that game. Chargers are awful, they might fire Norv this week.

So if we win out, and any 1 thing bolded doesn't happen, then its still a no go at that point?

If we do win out, its not far fetched that the Steelers win next week and jets lose tonight and next week or against the bills. Take it week at a time.

I think they are officially out now... the way we can get into the playoffs is if we win against Buffalo and Pittsburgh defeats Cincinnati in week 16. Then in week 17 we need to win against New England (who likely won't rest their starters as they could be fighting for a #2 seed if Denver loses a game but unlikely being Denver faces Cleveland and Kansas City) and see Cleveland defeat Pittsburgh and Baltimore defeat Cincinnati. However the Jets must lose one of their two remaining games (SD, BUF) as well.

It doesn't seem entirely far-fetched but I don't see it happening. I do think it's very possible we go into week 17 with "playoff hopes" so to speak as I think Pittsburgh can beat Cincinnati and we can beat Buffalo. I have a hard time seeing the Jets defeat the Chargers this week too.

Who would have thought that after all this... going into week 16, we still have an outside shot of being the 6th playoff seed.

But how the heck did the Titans absolutely destroy us? They looked incredibly awful tonight.

Teams play differently at the beginning, middle, and end of each season. Look at the Arizona Cardinals.

Ugh.. just think of how important those early losses to the Jets and Cardinals are now. Although to be fair I didn't think this team would be close to sniffing playoff contention.

**** happens... I think it's telling that with as little talent we have on offense (we have a few pieces but not much) surrounding a rookie quarterback yet we're going into week 16 with an outside shot at the playoffs. It makes me feel good about the future of this franchise with Tannehill running the team.

I'd love to go into the final game vs the Pats with something on the line.

Just beat Buffalo first and foremost.

Of the scenarios the most far fetched is the Browns beating the Stealers, otherwise it all can easily happen.

And the Seahawks, who've scored over 100 pts in the last two games, lost to us!

    (seriously, how'd that happen...)
