Sounds like a future poll thread: "How dumb is Egnew? () Dumb () Very Dumb () Dumb as a Stump () I like eggnog"
As for Egnew – who might be activate Sunday with Charles Clay injured – the issue isn’t merely blocking, but the fact the staff has been petrified he might make a mistake, as he has done in practice. I don't know. Should we really be this surprised about Eggnog considering he was played more like a WR then TE in school?
I'm praying really hard for a, "Damn, why didn't we have him in all year?!" moment today while watching this game.
If that is true that is certainly.. CERTAINLY.... something that should be a large factor any GM or personnel guy should seriously consider when deciding where to draft TE's out of his system. That's a rather large thing to overlook IMO.
I saw him in uniform on the sideline. Looked like he even played a snap today. At least he logged a snap this season.
I thought I caught a glimpse of him on the bottom of the screen on that lateral/incomplete play. Saw it the last time they showed the play though - can anyone confirm? It's been bugging me.
I take it Egnew didn't play or didn't play much? I missed the game to attend my great-grandmother's 94th birthday party.
I had NFL Mobile up on my phone...yeah, you're right. Her actual birthday is Christmas Day, but we're visiting the other side of the family then. Still, you're right.
Tight end Michael Egnew played eight snaps Sunday -– his first playing time of the season. “Thought Egnew did a good job in what we asked him to do,” Philbin said. Read more here: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/sports-buzz/#storylink=cpy
