Miami Dolphins New logo/uniforms Thread

I like the one on the right. The left one seems like a cheesy rip-off of Seattle with the Dolphin wrapped around like that; like a fish flopping onto a cutting board.

 

I attempted to make a compromise

 

While I don't like the faceless dolphin, that is much improved. Although id rather see no change it the current one if those were my two options.

Why don't they do a little bit of fan consulting? I'll take almost anything without navy. Maybe we can get rid of the white on whites while we're at it.

 

No, I'm totally convinced that some people will think that way.

 

The original logo was voted on by the fans. Too bad they don't throw out 10 logos and at least take a vote to see where people stand. Then make their choice.

But who would vote in that scenario? If it was an internet vote, what's stopping non-Dolphins fans from voting for one they think is the worst? There's a lot more non-dolphins fans than dolphins fans after all.

They should have a select few people (including, but not limited to, former players/coaches/owner) decide what they think is best for the franchise's look going forward (after getting input from designers, graphic designers, art directors, uniform people at nike, etc), and I would guess that's what they did.

 

May as well just keep it how it is if that were indeed the new logo.

Wouldn't be worth the effort to change it so little IMO.

No, they have 10 choices like I said. It could be 5 as well but those pics are already picked by a select number of trusted people/hired people. They are also already liked within the organization. The fan vote is only for input to gauge all of them. They, of course, get the final selection.

Also: The organization could use a certain number of carefully selected season ticket holders to make the vote. Some young, some middle age and some older. A mix of gender as well.

 

It needs an eye...give it a cool eye.

 

I don't mind the logo all that much. It's just different is all. The tail might be a little thick, which is why some of you are seeing a whale, I think.

I really like the updated Sunburst. It's much better than either the classic logo or the current version.

I'd give it a B- right now. A few tweaks and I could see it going to a B+.

That eye makes a huge difference.

 

I like the way Prototype Phin looks on the helmet.

It might look odd shrunken down for hats though. I think it'll look great with the script, which i'm assuming will (hopefully) stay the same. We have the best script logo in sports.

To be honest...thats the best by far. To me...if your gonna make a change...to not use that one is crazy. I hope the Phins have seen it....cuz....Im all OVER that logo

I like the whole get-up....I've been looking at the same logo for 42 years and modern would be a great place to start with fresh beginning for the team GO PHINS

 

im telling you, they need to base it off of this

 

I could live with the Logo.... but that uniform would knock a buzzard off of an overloaded honey wagon!

Problem with people who love this logo is that the Miami Dolphins spent at least a million dollars on the new logo, maybe more. For them to throw it out and buy this logo idea will be costly. People may say " I wont buy merchandise with the other logo" but really, how many people will really do that? Miami will still make money of this logo no matter what people think.

I wonder what it looks like on hats to be honest, and other merchandise. the logo they officially release needs to look good on merchandise if its going to be successful. It has to be the widest logo in the league, which would be interesting

Omar probably hasn't seen the logo so it could just be his opinion

 

We all now Omar, if he did not leak it himself then it can't be true.

 

I think it would look fantastic on merchandise..

those are nice if we're going full blown on the throwback look..but time has passed man, time to get creative and a bit modern..not to much but a bit, that looks like it was made in 67.

 

I'd take the logo and aqua from the left image but apply the coral from the right image.
