http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/jetsb...ffensive_FKHsRffGnerB4pTdw84lUO#axzz2GYVXtnd0 He helped wreck the Jets season, I was hoping it would get an extension, not this.
Well give the Jets credit for not sticking with him a season too long like another organization I know did...
I've been saying it all year, he's greatly responsible for the Tebow debacle and the deception that occurred, I don't believe for one second that he had enough designed plays for tebows skillset to play a full game, without looking like a fool.. I'm sure his thought process was if Ronnie brown can do it, then I can hand it to Tim and do the same, maybe add a few more pass plays to the package, you know when he got that coordinator job he was all about adding tebow for a few plays, however, when Sanchez showed where he's at in his development of becoming a man, Sparano was forced to think about Tebow starting....oops..I don't have a whole scheme like Mike McCoy designed in Denver..direct snap, jet sweep, and a few other tricks is all I got....Must continue to start Sanchez..Sanchez crumbles and pisses all over himself on national tv, I'll start Mecolroy, melcoroy gets hurt, I'll go back to Sanchez.. Tebow had no chance..even if he did get one...The offense would of been much to predictable for him to be effective..
I hope the JEST pound the Jills, Sanchez throws for 400 yards, and Tebow scores 2 TDs off the Wildcat so Sparano's job is saved.
Their GM is rumored to be next to go.Perhaps Ryan too .Total implosion of the Jet organization. Plus they are in cap hell for their next regime to assimilate. Its a crying shame but it was entirely predictable.
It would be nice if Sparano stays in the AFC East, perhaps the head coach of the Bills or maybe the OC for the Patriots. PLEEEEEEEEEEASSSSEEEEE???????????????
I'm not sure the best possible coaching would turn that Jets offense into a winner. It's basically Dustin Keller and two real good offensive linemen- And Dustin Keller was out for a lot of the time.
Sad to see him leave. He was doing a good job for us up there. It makes me angry when people who are doing a good job get fired.
Sparano's firing has been rumored up in these parts for a few weeks now. Ryan appears to be safe, but making this whole thing even more bizarre is that Woody Johnson has supposedly been contemplating hiring a new GM but keeping Tannebaum in another position, reportedly capologist. Why any GM would be comfortable with this, especially since they're now drowning under a number of bad contracts, is beyond me.
It looks like we should be a step or two ahead of the Jets and Bills. Thank everything that is holy they didnt get their hands on Luck or Griffin, or even Newton. There's not a QB like that coming out for years. As for Tony, package him with Tebow in Jacksonville.
I know its easy to kick a guy when he is down and its even more fun when its the Jests ... but I always liked Tony no matter his ineffectiveness as a head coach or OC. I wish him well.
I don't think the Jets will be successful as a team with that loose cannon Ryan as the head coach until they can obtain a QB who has a Tom Brady/Matt Ryan/Aaron Rodgers type deportment and can be the kind of team leader who holds all that mess together that Ryan creates. They did well in Sanchez's rookie year only because they had the #1 overall defense and #1 running game in the league that year.
Wow! The ravens fired Cam Cameron The jets Canned Sporano If the Bills dump Dave Wannstedt Im declaring it a trifectta. Maybe the Myans were onto something and the dawn of new age is upon the world.
Who looked at our offense the past few years and said "well that guy gets the job done on the offensive side of the ball"? What a stupid freaking hire in the first place.
He doesn't have his butt buddy Parcells to protect his job. You can say what you want about Ross, but the first thing he did was try and get a new coach, he should have fired him first but a real state developer new Sporano had an IQ 2 points lower than a stick
I still like Tony. He seems like a good man. The fact the Jets are a TOTAL disaster with very little or no hope moving forward is delicious though.
Sparano was a Yes Man from day one. He has very little ability to think for himself and his most redeeming quality is his loyalty. That's why Parcells brought him here, to be a puppet coach. He may be a good man, he probably is. It has nothing to do with football.
Wish I was Tony, He is collecting the rest of his contract from us and now will collect the rest of his contract he signed with the Jets. Does not get beter then that. Get paid millions by two teams to sit hom. I like it.
I had to laugh at Jets fans who were excited by the hire. "He'll bring discipline...blah blah blah." Can't count how many Jets fans have told me in the last 2 months, "Boy were you ever right about Sparano."
It's encouraging for us to see how inept the Jets brain trust is. I mean think about it, every Dolphin fan knew what the Jets were getting in Mr Field Goal, hell anyone who watched Dolphins play knew....everyone but the Jets. What an assclown organization.
Cameron is a bad head coach but a very good OC. I thought the Ravens were stupid to fire him and replace him with Caldwell. I hope the Jets do not hire Cameron as their next OC.
