It amazes me the players the Pats have at the skilled positions. Nothing they do offensively is difficult to defend. Its all dink and dunk really, but what makes it impossible to defend is how good the players are, playing in the system. Its just not possible to cover everyone, every thing. Especially when you're not a talented defense to begin with when it comes to coverage.

Brady has thrown 20 touchdowns and 0 interceptions this year on blitzes. Dude is the best in the league at getting it out of their quickly.

Personally, I'd blitz him every down. You have a chance to knock him around. If you rush 3 he just stands there and picks you to shreds.

 

So Jimmy Wilson breaks up a pass and jumps up and down and thumps his chest...he gives up 5 completions and just slumps back to the huddle. The era of make one play and give up 5.....look at me when I make one play....look the other way when I give up 5

 

It's true. It's not like Brady is a run threat and you need to keep lanes.

And by the way, rushing three does nothing but discourage and exhaust a guy like Wake. By the time you actually give him a rushing down where he has aNY realsitic chance (rushing four or five) he will be at half speed.

Fortunatelyl Wake's half speed is still the best on the Dline.

He should really help with our depth. After that I think we will make a run at ....Gerald Mcgrath to tighten up the linebacking core. Maybe bring back Marvin Mitchell. After that I think Duke Calhoun becomes a prime free agent target to replace Brian Hartline. According to Philbin we don't need number 1 recievers. We don't even need them to be a 2 or a 3...Not in his "system".

This game SCREAMS "draft a pass rusher" to me. We need to sign Greg Jennings in free agency so we can focus on pass rusher, offensive line and secondary.

Cry me a river. Being negative doesn't fix a thing. You can't fix every need when your number of needs out weigh your options.
I would have loved to solve our WR needs last year, but that would just mean we would be complaining about another position.
