the more fireings that are taking place the angrier I am getting at mr Ross . bottom line I reallly hate Ireland and i am losing patience with MR Ross .
Well then sack up and spend a billion+ dollars of your own money to buy the team from him. Then you could fire whomever you want. Until then, Mr Ross likely could care less about your feelings toward his decisions.
I never expected him to and i assume you are one of the sunshine pumpers who makes excusses for losing . I for one am sick of the losing .
yeah, I feel ya. A guy that spends a billion dollars to go 7-9 simply couldn't understand the level of pain you're currently feeling. Maybe he'll send you a condolence card. Does he have your address?
Be sure to let us know when Yards Per Pass Attempt is added to the scoreboard. While having roughly the same TO ratio, the Colts scored 22 points per game to Miami's 18. 357 points to 288. So, it is laughable to say the Colts' offense wasn't any better than Miami's. To say as much is being in total denial.
The Jets have been 34-30 over the past four years. They went to the AFC championship game in 2009 and 2010. The Dolphins have been 27-37 over this same period and haven't been in the playoffs once over the past four years. The owner of the Jets looked at his team and realized that the GM, Tannenbaum, hasn't provided the team with enough talented player to be a legitimate playoff contender this past season. So today he fired Tannenbaum and will hire a new GM. Ross looked at his team and thinks that Ireland has done a good enough job to retain him. I now realize that Ireland isn't the problem with the Dolphins. The problem is the owner and until he sells this team, they aren't ever going to get beyond mediocre. He is completely clueless about how to run an NFL organization. I assume he is keeping Ireland as the teams GM because he realizes that no truly competent GM would want to come here and work with him. He couldn't hire Harbaugh or Fisher to coach his team and it appears he is afraid to take a chance trying to hire a competent GM, because he doesn't want to be considered more inept than he already is, when they turn him down. I guess he loves looking at all those empty seats on game day. I am sure he will get the opportunity to see even more empty seats in 2013. I predict season ticket sales will decrease by another 5,000 to 10,000 in 2013.
I used to rather like Mike Tannenbaum and I'm certainly not going to get confused for a Jeff Ireland fan, but records notwithstanding, Tannenbaum did as poorly a GM job these past two seasons than I've ever seen. Ireland, for all his shortcomings, doesn't even get close to the mess Tannenbaum leaves in New York.
this is going to be the biggest offseason for the dolphins in a while. i just hope ireland knocks it out of the park.
So you think Ireland was just bringing Parcells his coffee those first 3 years? What Colin Cowherd says about message board nerds is very true. Blind sycophants.
Yeah, you get the feeling you'd hate to see him shopping for a big ticket item, no matter how good it is. "You want how much!?!?" 99 cent for a cheeseburger Sir
You mean he forced Sparano on Tannenbaum and Ryan, against their wishes? I'd guess Tannenbaum hired Sparano and Ryan acquiesced on the decision.
Id agree if u said Tebow bc the coaches never seemed to want to play him much. But why do u think an owner would saddle his HC with a just fired OC that the HC didn't want?
So you're saying it was Parcells team for those first 3 years? So then whose team philosophy and blueprint for drafting and building the team does that mean we were following (you know- the one that featured Dan Henning as OC and Tony Sparano as HC)? Parcells' or Ireland's? No need for pompous insults btw.
Sounds like you're suggesting the head person in charge (for instance- Parcells) and the HC (for instance- Sparano) have the most combined say & influence in what goes on with the team.
If Jake, Pouncey, Vontae, Odrick, Tannehill, are dribblers then what are Vernon Gholston, Aaron Maybin, Jamarcus, V Young, Aaron Curry, Tyson Jackson, etc.? I refuse to watch baseball so help me out here.
You said Woody decided to hire Sparano. I think it was Tannenbaum's decision. Simple as that. Nothing more, nothing less.
My bad Sir. I can't keep up w all the threads and responses. But while we're talkin what the hell happened? I used to agree a all u posts and now were heads and tails, it started after the Vontae trade IIRC, what say u?
That's horsey manure...the bottom line is that he wasn't going to get fired after only one season acquiring personnel for Philbin unless Philbin and he couldn't work together...Ross made this decision last year when he decided to keep him on. Whether you are pro or anti Irish, the writing was on the wall...
No it was Ireland and Parcells working together those first 3 years. Ireland had the GM title so he gets as much blame as Parcells.
And the writing is also on the wall that we are going nowhere fast. We've seen this all play out before. It's just a giant waste of time.
The stands are filled with Ireland jersey's, heck fans go up to him all the time. Some even ask him, why he has not fired himself yet. [true story]
Well that certainly makes your argument easy doesn't it. lol Do you even realize how that sounds inherently flawed from the get go when you say "GM title"? It's like you understand he wasn't actually a GM but argue it anyways. So your thinking is guilt by association. Too bad it's not that simple.
