The Dolphins are going to sign Marcus Dixon any day now. They worked him out last week and word is that the staff was highly impressed with his workout and his character. Thoughts?

My first thought was: Yay they signed that dude from The U. Then I remembered his name was Antonio. Second thought was: is he related to Mark Dixon.

Let's hope he turns out to be good as Wake!

Be nice to strike CFL gold twice!

What's this about CFL? Marcus Dixon, not Mark Dixon. He played with the Jets until partway through the 2012 season. ;)

No link, just an inside source. I know this is frowned upon on the internet but its true.

He was on the Cowboys practice squad for a few years and signed with the Jets in 2011. He was cut in week 3 of this year.

I can tell you that he has been working out non stop and is in ridiculous shape. Measured up for the workout at 6'5 285 lbs. Ran a faster 20 than he did in 2008 coming out of college.

Would give the Dolphins some solid depth at DE, especially for the league minimum.

I'm guessing we remember him from days of scouting Kendall Langford. (they played at Hampton together IIRC)

    Dec 29th...

If they were "highly impressed," I'm not sure why they haven't signed him yet.

Nice, Kacy Rogers is one of the best DLine coaches in the league at teaching technique, if he has the fire and drive (this is what Made Cam Wake btw) he can go as far as his talent will take him.

Rb Lamarcus Coker from Hampton is also in the CFL, he is primed to blow up the league

I currently live in Georgia. As sad as it sounds, racism still exists in some pathetic parts of this state. I saw a KKK march once. Scared the **** outta me. The rumor of his case being brought to court because of racism doesn't surprise me at all. He was pretty much acquitted though so it's all good :knucks:

Neither the prosecution nor the jury were racist, it appears from the article. The sentencing judge may have been, but the appeals court wasn't.

Now that we have exculpated the State of Georgia, only question I have is can he play.

You should make a patronizing Wonka for that, though it may be too long.

You had consensual sex with a girl 3 months too young when you were 18?
Tell me more about how good your character is 10 years later.

(I'm being sarcastic. There does not seem to be a reason to question his character at this point.)

    Eh, young cat getting some?

    Say it ain't so!

I wonder if the DA believes abortion is murder, if so those 9 months in the womb would mean she was 6 months past the age of consent.

I got laughed out of the courtroom when I tried that one, but it may have been because of my public defender wasn't up for the task.

Well, if the state has a partial birth abortion ban at a set time it would appear the State is trying to have it both ways.
