http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...one-hired-by-buffalo-bills-to-address-offense Good luck with that!
i'm relieved that its not Lovie Smith...on billszone they are in good spirits because he is from the parcells tree and has worked with sean payton
He took over a mess a couple of years ago, and actually had them playing some good ball this year. I am not overly worried but this is not a complete miss and dismissal as some here seem to think.
Former OC in New Orleans from 06-08 & O-line coach for the Jests from 02-05. He posted a .500 record at 'Cuse which was an improvement from the sheer awfulness the Orange were prior to his arrival. I won't pass judgement, but I am scratching my head a bit looking at this. Hopefully he helps Buffalo stay the course!
that was my first thought too. Lovie could do some serious damage to the AFC East if he took control of the Bills defense. IMO, they have been good but underutilized.
Best. Halftime. Speeches. Ever. "You fargin iceholes better stop playing like dumb bastiges! Get your heads in de fargin game! You gonna punish those sneaky bastiges out there... they have farged with you for de last time!"
One thing about this hire.....Chris Mortenson was just on the Michael Kay show here in NY and said Cleveland and SD were both prepared to bring Marrone back for a second interview and that he had jumped ahead of chip kelly. TFWIW.
Brought over Nathaniel Hackett, Paul's son, who worked with him at Syracuse and did a really nice job. Defensively, hired Mike Pettine from the Jets.
Mike Pettine from the Jets Will be interesting to see if Bobby April or Dave Toub show up in Buffalo as well.
If he aces the OC hiring, that would be cause for some concern. IMO. We'll see, Hackett has never been an OC in the NFL.
