    Good Lord:

    things I despise:

    -Child Molesters
    -ESPN
    -the b(ull****)cs

"If there were a conspiracy of dunces, the B(ull****) C(ash) S(sucky) could be excused.

This crap however, and those whom follow it, remind me very much of snake oil salesman who discover yet another market of suckers who will buy the snake oil..and swear it works.

College football sucks folks, whether "your" team wins or not, congrats to BSPN they have successfully thrown enough cash at those buffoons to utterly pimp out a once fine competition.

If one bets on that con game, good luck, if one enjoys sport..we know what it is.

Better to watch an Iron Man competition then that stuff.

Not a fan of lil nicky, also not a fan of having BS force fed down my throat, the "national championship" means absolutely nothing today, save for dumb dumbs whom paint themselves their team colors..

What kind of stupid people are those?

College football turns my stomach lmeister, thanx BSPN

It has went from a sort of Olympics (amateurs out there giving their all) to a cash cow for universities and the beast in CT.

There was always some dirt in college FBall, but now it is a place where slime balls rule.

Thank the NCAA not ESPN. The NCAA has created the culture where people cheat, do roids, pay players with cash or women etc because they don't have the balls to do what they did to SMU to one of their cash cows to make an example out of them. They are the turd in the punch bowl not ESPN.

Simply B/c BSPN has offered a bounty of tens of millions of dollars to do so.

Instead of some booster club throwing cash at players, it is dressed up as a cable network who throws cash at the schools.

Of course the athletes do not share in the windfall, which just makes the BSPN the "john" and the NCAA the pimps.

You're blaming a media entity for paying what the market will support?

Teams were on the 'Bama plan' well before Bama and big TV contracts. I guarantee that.

Either way, the whole thing is pathetic.

For example the way the B(ull****)CS works, more or less a rigged system wherein teams can lose a game, then the "magic" of the computer say "oh, but they are still #2, to a Natl Title game rematch for you".

    It's as bad as wrestling.

^^^that is where I don't disagree. The only fix is a true playoff. But but but, where will we come up with the format? :crapstrom:

    Uhm, no.

All the playoff system will do is pump yet more $$$ into schools and network coffers, the "real" answer is to ****can the bcs and simply return to the coaches and media poll, if there is controversy that's fine, they are amateurs after all.

Again, thank the NCAA for that. They don't even control the rights to award a championship in their biggest sport.

    I blame all parties involved, BSPN/NCAA/Conferences/AD's/School Admin's

Either way though, it is unwatchable, they've literally killed the bowl games, a 60 yr tradition is now DOA.

    Good job fellas

I am fine with money on coffers. I just want a playoff system. A real actual honest to god not just top 4 playoff system.

I'd be fine with the major conference champions playing + some at large teams.

maybe 12 teams, this would also allow for the Bowl Games to mean something if the playoffs happened right after the conference championship games and before the bowl games.

Why bother with bowls if they are so bad? Go full playoff and drive on. Having bowls and a playoff is having your cake and eating it too. Have one system or the other. Make it like the lower levels, every CC is in+4 at large(runners up of conferences) with a 16 team playoff wrapping up the weekend before the NFL Wild Card playoffs.

I think the ideal would be 8 conferences, with each having their own champions. Then the champions go on the play in the big dance.

They could do stupid bowl stuff with the rest of the teams left or even the losers of the first round. I don't care.

Nah, if it entertains you, then fine, but so does "wipeout".

The ones I pity are the alums who pony up $$$$ when the program is already rolling in $$$$

The only thing that really bothers me is that 90% of the bowl games (probably more) are on ESPN and not on ABC or one of the other networks. Doesn't really make any sense to me. I've got my locals in HD - but I'm not about to pony up the money for ESPN in HD.

    the poor house

I am afraid he is right college football is becoming corupt and espn is the corruptor . see ( Texas Longhorn network )

there is no way in hell that Noter dame should have been in the n.c game because their conference is so crappy .

the truth is espn is the sorriest excuse of sports media there is. they kiss the patriots butts all the time and its obvious they pay off the right people . so the original poster is 1000000 % right.
