We have the 12th pic in the first round of the 2013 draft

The Kansas City Chiefs have the first pic

The Kansas City Chiefs need a QB

    We have Matt Moore

Is it out of the realm of possibilities that we could swap #1's with KC by throwing in Matt Moore on a trade.

If it is, what could or would we do with the #1 pic?

This should be interesting, because the possibilities are endless. Curious what everyone thinks.

Personally I don't know if I would do it, so please educate me as to who would be worth it.

IF this happens, and it is a huge if, I would trade back to #4 pick up a few more picks and get Dee Milliner

Let's just say for a second that the Dolphins still had Moore under contract (which they don't). The difference in value between the 12th pick and the 1st is HUGE. We're talking more than another 1st round pick. No one in their right mind is trading anything close to a 1st round pick for Matt Moore.

Perhaps we should place the franchise tag on Moore and then try to trade him to KC for the #1 pick...:wink2:

Never said Andy Reid had a right mind, after all he had Michael Vick as his QB. :tongue2: Did not know Moore's contract was up. I thought he had one more year. Well crap that's more cap money gone if we want a great backup. Guess we are back to talking about how bad Ireland is or isn't and weather Tanne is a franchise Qb (sigh)

No, Andy Reid is the new KC coach and he is not swapping the number one pick for Moore

I didn't value Matt Moore at anything. I recognize, new coach, need for QB. Nothing more. If the difference from 12 to 1 is that high then obviously this is a moot point. I just thought we might could make a big splash. The QB class this year is not very good. Not sure who would if it was doable would be worthy of a #1 pick. Just our luck it would be a Left Tackle......:shifty:

I would have never given that if I was a GM , but I guess RG III is worth it. Now that guy is a franchise QB. How long of one remains to be seen.

He didn't make Kolb look like it, yet most on this board would have traded the entire team to get him when the whole thing went down. Were is he anyway. Is he out of the league yet?

  19. I hear they like doing that sort of thing.

Personaly I dont think they are gonna find anyone better then they already have in Cassle this year. Is he still under contract or is he a FA also?

This is an interesting thing for KC. Who is the overall #1 this year, and will there be some moves this year like last? I guess the intrigue of the OP's concept is there, but seems to be only intrigued by the concept of a trade.

Who would you pick 2socks with the #1 overall, jw?

I am not sure if I would want the #1. To much rigamarole.

I would try and hold the pic and maybe trade down to 4 or 5.

If I had to pick I would probably take Dee Milliner or Bjeon Werner.

That sure isn't how I remember it. The vast majority on this board were adamantly opposed to trading for Kolb. He is still with Cards. Did you watch our game against them? He led their comeback for the eventual winning score. He finished the season injured, courtesy of the worst pair of OTs in the league.

He made Kolb look better than he is, wich is Reid's forte. Looked good enough to rape ANOTHER team into giving the Eagles much more than what they should've. Also he made Kolb look good enough to get paid like a top level QB.

wow. I almost fell out of my chair with that one. (I mean the sig) Man it's hard to concentrate. I did watch the game and was pissed we lost. close game. Wasn't impressed with Kolb though. Maybe I am confusing every other QB that was out there that others were drooling over. As far as the offensive tackles, maybe we could trade them Long. We could def use the extra 10/11 mill in cap space and draft a left tackle in the 2nd

Even if it was a plausible scenario, Matt Moore doesnt really fit our WCO so what makes one think he would fit Andy Reid's?

I like Matt Moore. I think he is a decent QB and given the chance under the right coach (Reid would be that guy), he may do very well and could be servicable for 5 -7 years.

I think KC ends up with Smith for 49ers

Yeah teams all over the league are saying, "Matt Moore is the answer to our QB problem."

Where's lmeister with the "cocaine is a helluva drug" pic?

Don't get me wrong, I like Matt Moore and he'll continue to be a great backup somewhere. But any GM ready to hitch his star to Matt Moore as a starter is going to be out of a job really quick.

Matt Moore isn't worth moving up one position in the draft let alone #1 overall. Lol.

Andy Reid has that kind of magic, and how many teams has he fooled with trading mediocre to bad QB's to other teams for picks ? I know we were a victim for AJ Feeley. Zona for Kolb. Who else ?
