Given what I heard during the BCS game, I think you are overstating the flaws in the stadium's logistics. Seemed loud enough then. Get the stadium full, and full of Miami fans and we are more than loud enough to affect the opposing offense as is. The canopy will only amplify what we heard at the BCS, making our stadium logistics a non issue, IF we can get the crowd.

Your idea is great to make the LIMITED attendance louder. Thing is, if it is a sell out every week, it isn't even an issue.

Unless they are making the added seats a whole new section of their own... I would think that the 27th row would be 18ft closer than where it was previously.

what people are telling you is that voters aren't always going to 1)educate themselves 2) think long and hard before they vote 3) vote non emotionally.
You may, I may, etc but a lot of people don't. Its the same reason people vote for only one political party, or anything against/for abortion, etc. People have emotional attachments to their politic ideas. So thought goes out the window.

It looks like they are putting some sort of sideline resturant on the field, if the tables are any indictator.

That's where the sideline Club is now. You pay extra to have a pass that allows you to watch the game from field level and go back and forth to your seat. There are no actual seats down there, but perhaps that's something they want to do

Ok, so that upper bowl is the same Except for the top corners being cut out, it also looks like the club level bowl is still there except from the 10 to 10 yard line, so it looks like from these pics that the middle section will be elevated?

Sec could you break that down exactly, cause if I keep looking at it, i start to see the same building with Minor adjustments

Well if the taxpayers or tax is to be coming from Miami-Dade County bed tax then the county needs to do what the city of Miami did to the Marlins, and that is make the team commit to the county. That means move the Dolphins facility back to Miami-Dade, force the Dolphins to start doing community works in Miami-Dade and also make the Orange Bowl Committee to become a Miami-Dade event, and while we are at it, make the U of Miami pay for some of the upgrades or rip up the present agreement and replace it with higher rent payments from them.

Has Ross thought about doing those things to make it more palatable to the Miami-Dade Commissioners ?

Sorry guys.." I'm in a glass case of emotion"

Let me try to be clear, I'm excited as hell if the pics are true and those pics represent the moving and adding of concrete, concrete that's not just affiliated with the extension rows from the lower bowl..

If all their doing is building a canopy, taking out four sections up top, and adding 12 to 15 rows from the lower bowl, I'll take it, but I know the same issues that were there before will remain, because they are related to distance.

I got excited because if those photos represent a configuration change that's not associated with just the adding of rows at the bottom, but will literally bring the stands closer to the field, I'm going to kiss all of you...with tongue..

Well to me, on the surface of what was proposed today, he needs to go back, and rethink it more - I as a Miami-Dade voter will make whoever votes for this pay with not getting my vote ever again. It's not good enough.

If the bed tax is to only be raised in Miami-Dade that makes it even more expensive to get a hotel in Miami. Where is Broward's share in all of this ? Don't they also benefit from a Super Bowl & BCS Championship ? Shouldn't they have to help out too ? It's not fair to put it all on Miami-Dade without their being promises IN A CONTRACT to force the Dolphins, the BCS and Orange Bowl committees to do most if not all business in Miami-Dade and to the benefit of the county who has taken on the risk of partnering with the Dolphins in this project.

Unless they do, then its another rear-ender for the people of Miami-Dade.

Odd thing is, Wayne H had just dumped 250 million into renovations prior to selling to Ross.

Seems like they are beginning to throw good money after bad.

FIU Stadium is closest, and it holds about the same as FAU.

I don't know if it was deliberate to forget about FIU or not.....

More to the point, why do their graphics look like a back shot from Techmo Bowl?

I can envisage a pixelated #13 throwing to a poorly rendered #85 on the post

OK, so I’m trying to grasp exactly what you are looking for… so I’ve used my outstanding engineering CAD skills to come up with these sophisticated drawings to try to illustrate what you are looking for.

Here is a mock up of what we have currently:

Here is what I think you are hoping they would do?

Is my understanding correct? What would you do with the gap that is created?

If you look at my responses in the thread I mention the 2002 vote for the bed tax.

The Marlins deal was all county & city of Miami commission meetings with a very short (couple of hours) public debate that was done basically after the deal was hammered out already.
