the whole espn NFL sunday countdown crew in berman, ditka, keyshawn johnson, chris carter and tom jackson....they are so annoying to listen too....berman can't really put out one sentence these days without struggling to breathe, i like rich eisen the whole crew in general, even michael irvin, its so funny when he gets going,kevin harlan also very cool voice to listen to in a game besides football i like jeff van gundy, mike breen absolutely cant stand hubie brown the micromanager in basketball

 

I don't even watch ESPN sunday countdown for the past two years now. I'm tired of ESPN except for PTI.

Is it even valid to name Skip Bayless for this? He's a troll, everyone knows he's a troll, he knows he's a troll, and he's intentionally trying to be a troll. That's like asking which running backs out there are best at scoring touchdowns, and naming a fullback.

 

Listening to Phil Simms do a Patriots game is about as bad as it gets on a National Level.

Locally, it would be easier to identify the people who are any good.

I think a better question would be... who in the media's opinion should be respected.... ??? I think this mainly pertains to beat writers, but i'll include everyone.

As far as local beat writers, all the good ones have moved on from south florida. Jeff Darlington was great. Ben Volin is the only one I pay any attention to these days. He's pretty solid. Omar and Armando are dumb and dumber. I like Salguero's radio personality, but he's not a football guy.

Nationally.....

Reporting : Mike Florio is God. Schefter and Glazer are great reporters.
Analysis is where i get frustrated: I try not to include former players/coaches, but Jaworski is great with game tape ( int small doses ) as an analyst. Ditka is God-like in my eyes, for a general opinion. I refer to Mayock and a little bit of McShay for the in depth stuff as far as players are concerned.

Who's the worst? anyone on cold pizza, or whatever they call it now. ESPN is so moronic. I still cant believe those comments about RG3 not being black because of his white girlfriend..... They fired the guy who said it, but what about the people who decided to air it 3 more times and even put it on the " best of the show " sequence ? They didnt even know it was wrong, they had to be told ! Wowwww

By far, Mike Mayock. The dude just does not shut up. Each play he attempts to diagram what went on and most times he is friggin completely wrong. He will compliment a player on one play and the very next slam him into the ground. He should stick with his recruiting crap the man is atrocious.

Next in line, Phil Simms. Another one that just makes stuff up and actually believes it. Forget what game it was but he said something happened in a game and his co announcer called him out and Simms admitted it did not happen but in his mind it did happen. LOL both should be given a bus ticket but number one is Mayock. Dude is just down right friggn obnoxious to listen to.

 

I agree on S.Florida. Darlington and Volin are good, the rest are bums with Armando and whats his face from the Sentinal, Omar Kelly. Honest to goodness I have sat at Dolphin practices then read his reports and tweets and seriously wondered if I was at the same practice Omar was talking about. I mean a player goes in for a starter and Omar automatically tweets ' so and so was with the starting unit today " Its unreal. The dude definately has an agenda against some of the players and for the most part is completely full of crap. Armando on the other hand is really mentally challenged. He has his horde of loyal followers on his papers website and I read some of their stuff and wonder if any of them have a clue of the game of football. Armando HAS TO HAVE pictures of his boss banging a goat or something, has to.

 

If you were to do a shot of vodka everytime he gave someone a nickname, You'd be dead within 5 minutes.

 

Omar Kelly has an opinion, but his stubbornness in regards to his twitter feed reeks of narcissism.

I would like to just hang out with Rich Eisen for a week, and I like the "two black guys" banter NFL Network does with Primetime and Irvin on game highlights. It reminds me of a great youtube of two black guys critiquing the NFL draft...

He was terrible in last years game 1 massacre against the Pats. Showing replays of Nate Solder holding and several times blatantly taking down Wake and calling it "excellent" blocking.
