This may have already been done a thousand times over, but I'm new so I figured I'd ask. Who is everyone's favorite all-time Dolphin? & Who is your favorite current dolphin? For me... Marino with McDuffie a close 2nd. Currently Tannehill because he brings hope or Reggie because he seems to have turned himself around into a solid player/leader. Your thoughts...
Zach Thomas for past, Brian Hartline for the present. Zach I think everyone can understand, but I guess I should explain before I get a lot of flack for the Hartline choice. I respect Hartline a lot. I think he works as hard or harder than almost any Dolphin we have on board now. To come into this season and do so well after missing all the OTA's, mini-camps, training-camp and pre-season games is remarkable. I know he is not the fastest guy on the team, but he's not slow either (he ran track at Ohio St so he can't be that slow), and he also can put two sentences together and not sound like a jackass.
Zach has always been my favorite and now I would say Wake....least favorite would have to be Brandon Marshall and now prob Nolan Carrol
Past: 1.) Danny (by a wide margin, best player in franchise history and I don't see him being matched). 2.) Sam Madison 3.) Zach 4.) Mark Clayton 5.) Troy Vincent Present: 1.) Ryan Tannehill 2.) Cameron Wake 3.) Reshad Jones
Past: 1) Manny Fernandez 2) Zach Thomas 3) Sam Madison Present: 1) Kracken 2) Mike Pouncey 3) Paul Soliai
Mark Clayton........he seemed to have a lot of fun playing ball. Madison.............he also had fun playing and talking trash. He had talked so much smack in one game, against the Raiders I think, that the WR just pushed him after the play and got a 15 yarder called on him. Madison got a big laugh out of that one. Zack............Dolphin to the end. This was set in stone when he wouldnt sign with another club in the division` Brian COX............willing to take on the whole bench of the other team to support a teammate. Sorry, but I forget some of the details, but not the jest of it all. NOW..........Wake.
Past 1. Dan Marino - If only cloning were readily available. Physical talent, mental toughness, competitive fire, etc... 2. Jason Taylor - Guy was a monster and a Tom Brady killer. 3. Zack Thomas - Met him when I was 11. Got his autograph. Great player, tons of heart. Honestly, I loved the core defensive guys in the late 90's and early 00's. Present 1. Reggie Bush - I like watching exciting players. I also like the leadership qualities he brings to the team. 2. Cameron Wake - /ActivateBeastMode 3. Ryan Tannehill - When he's on, he's good and fun to watch. Hopefully he keeps progressing.
Dan Marino past, with Zack Thomas and Don Shula following Cam Wake and Jeff Ireland Marino because he never gave up......ever Wake ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Past: Dan Marino Crash Jensen Brian Cox John Offerdahl The Marks Brothers Zach Thomas JT Present: Ryan Tannehill Mike Pouncey Charles Clay (I live in Tulsa so I'm biased) Cam Wake Brandon Fields

My List as a team: Offence: QB, RB, FB 2 x WRs, Slot reciever, TE + O-line QB: Dan RB: Ricky Williams (NB I blame Wanny for Ricky's off in a puff of smoke period) FB: Larry Czonka WR: Paul Warfield; Mark Clayton Slot WR: Oronde Gadsen TE: Keith Jackson LT: Richmond Webb LH: Bob Kuechenberg C: Jim Langer RG: Larry Little RT: Norm Evans Defence (3-4 + Nickel back) DE: Bill Stanfill, Kim Bokamper (JT may have been a better player but he was never a favourite) NT: Tim Bowens (Probably the deepest spot in Dolphins history) OLB: Cameron Wake, Larry Gordon ILB: Zach Thomas, John Offerdahl CB: Sam Madison, Troy Vincent Nickel Back: Patrick Surtain S: Dick Anderson, Jake Scott K: Pete Stoyanovich P: Reggie Roby
past: dan zack thomas sam madison jason taylor oj mcduffie wes welker ricky williams orande gadsen trace armstrong present: ryan tannehill cameron wake reshad jones brandon fields lamar miller
Zach Thomas, not Zack . Bryan Cox, not Brian. Larry Csonka, not Czonka. God dammit, if they really are one of your favorite players, at least spell their names correctly. Even Aquafin got those names right, but then he misspelled Fleming.
I liked Oronde more. Some of his one handed catches are stuff of legend, but I really can't think of a single OJ McDuffie play that rings in my memory as a 'wow' moment. If I was selecting a best of, OJ probably goes in first.
Past: Larry Csonka... Curt Gowdy: "And, the Dolphins have a third and three against the Jets, and everybody in the Western Hemisphere knows who is going to get the ball!" Followed microscopically by Marino., then Kuch! Current: Pouncey and/or the Kraken!
