Brown also alleges that Callahan was equally motivated by his dislike for the Raiders and his friendship with then-Bucs-coach Jon Gruden.

Even more shocking? Jerry Rice is backing Brown.

You may remember the most memorable thing about this Super Bowl was previously center Raider Barrett Robbins going off the reservation. Brown contends Robbins' going AWOL was a result of the last-minute gameplan switch.

given how Barrett's life has spiraled completely out of control, not sure I'd trust anything he would say to add to it. would be nice though since the Raider's fullback directly contradicts Tim Brown's story. overall, I'm not buying Tim Brown's theory. more likely the simplest answer is Bill Callahan just made a really stupid mistake and changed the plan, probably because he realized his initial plan to run-run-run wouldn't work against Tampa

Non story. Brown is saying he has been telling this story for years in defense of Robbins. Not saying the guy threw the game.

This story has been around years, originally Timmy just said that Al told Callahan to change it Friday before, but now it's morphed and become huge.

It's worth noting that Crockett still works for us now, so he may be careful of his words. Ritchie and Garner have both semi-backed up Brown's story.

I don't think Callahan threw the game, I think he, as usual, thought he was smarter than he was and screwed everything up.

    ^^^^^^^this!

Is the rest even a conversation? Callahan made Rich Gannon a league MVP. Let that sink in for a minute.

Also, Gruden KNEW exactly what Callahan did out of EVERY look. He knew where Gannon looked to move the safeties and then who he liked to throw to after that. He knew every players tendencies and weaknesses, and used it to his advantage.
