Cant wait! Too bad those other scrubs are in it too.. http://www.thefinsiders.com/blog/2013/elway-to-marino-movie-to-premiere-on-espn
The University of Miami football team 30 for 30 was amazing. I was in middle school and high school in Miami back then, and that show captured the culture surrounding that team and the city back then to a T. The team and the city had a swagger that was unmistakable, and that was one of the few teams I've ever seen that could be a clear favorite in a big game and still go in there with a swagger and whip your *** time and time again. It was as if nobody could knock them off their pedestal.
Awesome. Please bump this before air time. I don't watch anything on ESPN besides live sports and I suspect I'm not alone.
I like the 30 for 30's. But, I wish it was just on Dan. The fact that it's all of them will wind up elevating Elway because of the SB wins. Someone needs to do one just on Dan. For years he was a better QB than Elway. So was Kelly. If they'd have won one SB - their stock would be higher (which is patently absurd - Ed Reed won't be a better safety if Baltimore wins next week than he would have been if they lose next week. That would mean he'd never have won a SB).
Marino will be heavily featured. Last to be selected but most prolific passer and most successful out of the gate. Rivalry with many of the other qb's selected with three others in the afc east... Pats and Eason in the 85 championship, numerous shoot outs with jets and o'brien, and of course early 90s rivalry with buffalo and kelly.
Tony Eason had a few decent years and helped New England got to the Super Bowl, but was never able to fully take the starting job from Steve Grogan. Todd Blackledge was a bust.
