The Rams have decided not to hire Rob Ryan as their defensive coordinator. Last week, the normally reliable Adam Schefter reported that the Rams had hired Ryan. Not so fast. "It wasn't a scheme fit," coach Jeff Fisher said. Ryan has historically run a 3-4 defense while Fisher prefers the 4-3. Now Ryan, who previously claimed he'd have a job within "five minutes," goes back to the pile. Perhaps he'll get an interview with Chip Kelly and the Eagles, who are in the market for an aggressive 3-4 proponent to coordinator their defense. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/413/rams-defense Not sure if this effects anyone.
hmmm interesting. It's very strange that Fisher would even toy with the idea of switching to a 34 scheme... We'll continue to run a 43 with our triangle of doom being the heart of the defense. Quinn, Long and Laurinaitis. We are now in the market for a DC...
Why the heck is Lovie Smith only allowed to be a HC? If nobody hires him as their HC, why shouldnt someone be allowed to make him a DC?
true... he would wait until all the coaching hires had been made... and THEN fire the coaching staff.
Browns... ouch... It's funny, I wrote down three names this morning as potential DC's for the Rams... one of them was Dick Jauron. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...geting-dick-jauron-for-defensive-coordinator/
