Well, Ross said he was. But Ross is clueless, I've realized, when it comes to fooseball.

I actually said that to an NFL owner I met (and actually respect) and he laughed and nodded, asking me why I thought so. After I explained, he agreed, cautiously and in a qualified manner.

Thing is, I can't remember what my reasons were, and I actually think Ross is getting less dumb as he gets more experience.

Who cares what some washed up QB states on TV. Ireland and Parcells stated that Henne would turn out to be as good an NFL QB as Matt Ryan. These were the two men responsible for selecting the Dolphins future QB and they were both 100% wrong. Perhaps if McNabb is to be taken seriously, he should be the Dolphins GM.

I'll quit calling for his firing after he is fired.

If we shouldn't care what a washed up QB says, or what a GM says, or what a coach says...then why is your opinion more accurate? Why do we have to read the same thing over and over and over and over and over from you? What qualifications do you possess? When have you been right about things (and prove it)?

Not a big fan of Donovan McNabb, are you ? I'd have to value his opinion ( especially on a West Coast QB ) over anyone who will ever grace this forum. I know he has a reputation the philly fans worked hard to fabricate, but he's really just a classy guy that was one of the better QBs of a generation. He gave our guy some props and for some reason you feel the need to go out of your way to discredit him. Typical.

I never said my opinions are any more valid than anyone else's. As far as you reading my posts, no one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to read or respond to any of my posts.

My opinions are merely from a fan who has attended over 300 Dolphin games over the past 40 years.

To be fair, is attacking somebody on an internet forum in such a manner much better? One would hope that someone so cultured and experienced could conduct themselves more appropriately.

Edit: To be clear, the above post has been edited and hopefully the error recognized.

The promising thing about THIS offseason is the ample opportunity for significant change, at a number of positions, that potentially could generate the kind of frenetic, untenable, preseason hyperbole, unlike any witnessed in recent memory.

Your attending of games has no bearing on ranks of opinion or fanhood positioning. I know I have stated a few times as to how long I went to games but your attempt to cram it down peoples throats in threads where it means nothing is kinda strange man...

It's not really strange. People try to apply different things to themselves in order to attach credibility. I know a guy who never stops dropping that he went to a specific law school. The funny part? He does this during arguments, in a round about way, of saying "Well, I heard it HERE, so I know what I'm talking about" when in reality, you can google this specific statutory enforcement we are arguing and read it many different ways.

Basically it means nothing, but some people feel the need to do it and I say let em have at it. If you know the type of ammunition your "foe" is bringing to the fight, you can easily defend and defeat it, no?

I could name maybe 3-4 people on this board who's opinion I DON'T respect more than Mcnaab's.

He's far from one of the best qbs of my generation, he was good but far from great.

He's not smart and overrated, and i could not care less what his ridiculous opinion is.

But I'm not trying to argue or defend his point. I'm fine with that because it was on topic.

I have a huge weakness for our draft picks (I root for Jason Allen, Ted Ginn, Chris Chambers, etc. even to this day!) but two players I never warmed up to. Chad Henne and Daniel Thomas. Ireland, Sparano and Henning all went to see Ryan, Henne and Flacco, and said Henne was every bit as good. Ahh, good times.
