I just have a tough time believing: -He'd burn his truck not realizing such a fire would be found sooner or later. -He'd box himself in up there with only foot transportation Would not surprise me if he had another vehicle up there and set the truck alight to draw attention and manpower on a wild goose chase. Classic misdirection Reminds me very much of Eric Rudolph up here in the Mtns a decade or so ago, only he was not nearly as sophisticated as Dorner.
Well, he went for the boat (if you believe that story down in San Diego) prior to the two shootings against the cops. So he was trying to escape before carrying out more vengeance? Doesn't make sense. Also, he's naval intelligence and he doesn't know how to drive a boat? I think we're giving this guy way too much credit.
He's gone up to the mountains in the middle of a blizzard. I'm assuming he's still up there. This guy not too bright.
I believe as you do Padre. I don't think he's up there at all. I think it's just a ploy to get the LAPD to relax a little so he can continue to carry out his attacks. I read his entire manifesto. After reading it, I read how some of the different news agencies are reading into it and reporting it.
Well, after I read the thing the part about someone's family member dying was refered to as "an ATV" or "a Jet Ski" instead of a tragedy it would not surprise me that he just views this as a way to mess up Dept's budgets as well. The longer they stay on "full alert' the more expensive it becomes.
Not really, cast of lines do occasionally get caught in the props, the fix is simple, hop off the boat and cut the line loose. Couldn't do that in this situation Should point out, "if" he were as dangerous as he was being made out, he'd simply have killed the boat owner and given himself much more time to do whatever with the search having no idea he was ever down in SD.
The LAPD has always been a corrupted unit hasn't it? This is straight out of a movie. This dude wants justice and for the LAPD to get what they deserve. If he wasn't killing innocent people, he'd have a ton of support. All though in his warped mind, killing people is the only way to get his message across. Interesting stuff.
guy from the old "good burger" show. This being La-La land, you know there are scripts being written already
Uhm, since when is it police policy to have fire assets in the area and just let a building burn? That is one way to have only one side of the story reach the public, meanwhile a "State of the Union" address that no one really should give a damn about. Reminds me a bit of Waco TBH
Same as Waco. Let it burn, get out the broom. Gosh, guess he won't be disposed for Britt's "re investigation" of his firing. How nice.
I havent been able to watch the news feeds. Are the officers on the scene saying that Dormer is inside and cooking?
If the cops let him burn then they should be put on trial for it. Having said that, I think padre is jumping to some conclusion based on what he wants to believe rather then waiting to at least get some evidence.
fire dept is now trying to extinguish the fire. they have two units on scene. It's getting dark. Here's what happened... at 12:20pm today call came in of a stolen vehicle with the driver described as matching Christopher Dorner. Vehicle was spotted by police. Dorner left vehicle. Took up barracade in a rental cabin (unoccupied). Shots were exchanged where two cops were hit. One has died. Police fired tear gas into cabin. Before it caught fire, a single shot was heard. Cabin has burned for over 90 minutes now. Dorner expected to be inside as the building was surrounded immediately. The vehicle that Dorner was driving was found to have sniper rifle with silencer in it. The call of stolen vehicle came via two women that were tied up by Dorner saying their car was stolen. They are unhurt and being questioned by authorities (that will be some interview whoever news org gets that). I'm also hearing today that the original truck that Dorner was driving to Big Bear broke down before he set it on fire. It was his plan to drive up there and take refuge in a friend's cabin in Big Bear, but he never made it there. Instead after setting his truck on fire, he apparently took refuge in another cabin (this part of the story is not confirmed). His truck apparently broke it's axle.
not if he's shooting at cops... he can't say he wants a trial in the middle of a gun fight with police.
you fire tear gas into a wood structure, it's going to catch on fire. He didn't come out... he didn't give himself up. He shot at police. And probably took his own life before succumbing to the fire/smoke.
That will never happen, like the officers who crashed into/shot up/2 cars will never face an ounce of legal action in a criminal court for their actions. Padre has been around the block enough times to know how this plays out, for example after chasing media coverage away from the cabin via the air a "no fly zone" (which is a atrocious concept in and of itself) Guess who then gets to say how the fire started? Ain't Dorner.
Nope, tried to go out the back and ran into a hail of gunfire (per the US Marshals) who used the euphemism of "He was pushed back into the cabin" Then the fire started you see, then of course they couldn't roll the fire trucks due to 'dangers to personal" Get the broom, as I've said, have seen this before P13
So do tell Lucky, who will supply said evidence? Wannabet where the "re investigation" of Dorner's accusations leads to what..what do you think it will lead to? This is why I favor a Grand Jury to look into all of this, not LAPD or LA County.
I agree with that. I personaly am interested in hearing more details before forming any opinion on this. Im not giving any of them the benefit of doubt at this point. Too many questions still unanswered.
