Check this shizzle (turn your speakers down for the second video, LOUD!). There's also supposed to be an asteroid coming within 17,000 miles of the earth today the size of an olympic swimming pool. This thing looks to be bigger, see the last video. Hell, maybe this was it. 17k miles is CLOSE!! Should be visible on the other side of earth (Australia):

IF that big one hit over Russia, much of Russia would be devastated. This one, if reports are correct, is a small fraction of the size of the one passing us.
of course, it's possible that this one was bigger and much of it burned up upon entry into atmosphere.

the one over Russia was unexpected apparently. I've seen reports that the Russian military knew and that they had estimated no direct impact to their country. I can't believe that. They say that we are getting better at tracking these things but roughly only 10% are known ahead of time. Fascinating stuff no matter.

They say if the fly by asteroid hit LA, it would wipe out LA, up to Santa Barbara, across to Las Vegas, and down to San Diego. yowser.

and thats just the impact crater right? rest of the world would get a bunch of darkness for a long time. Kinda like if a supervolcano erupts.. you'd be lucky to be one of the ones inside the instant kaboom zone

the last time a meteor the size of the asteroid that did the close fly by hit? yeah probably the Tunguska thing. The one over Russia yesterday didn't technically hit. It happens more often than you'd think. Usually over the ocean with no witnesses.

So with all the money America pours into NASA, they didn't and couldn't track this?

But they could track the one on Friday that missed Earth supposedly by 17,000 miles??

There is something wrong with this picture no?

NASA has been taking a crap kicking in budget cuts. So no they don't. Last I heard it was a private consortium of interests that was getting together to fill that void.

4000 buildings windows shattered. If this had hit a skyscraper city....whoa.

well...the Riussian meteor just so happens to coincide with the 17,000 mile near miss? Yet how quickly "they" say it isn't related. BULL ****!
