Has anyone else ever felt like a two headed coin in regards to the team ? Well I have and the more i read about Jeff the ******* Ireland the more i am convinced that we wont be revelant until his *** is fired . example #1 he says we need playymakers but does nothing he says we wont do this or that but we do it anyways. example #2 we spend so much money on our oline and its still bad. we trade for Marshall and then we turn right around and trade him we pass on really good players then Ireland makes experinced vets want to avoid us . at some point we have to stop making excusses for Ireland but too many miami fans want to beleive the false hope he is dishing out . example 3 instead of getting rid of our wrost performing players we do the oposite . so how in hell is miami going to amount to something when the sorriest of gms is still lying to the fan base . example #4 none of our texas A&M players are any good at all we seem to take A&M Players because of Mike Sherman well guess what there is no way in hell Miami wins 7 or more games next year ,unless we get after it in f//a and the draft the pretending by Ireland apologist is downright sicking. it does nt take 15 years to rebuild and it should never take more then 5 years to make apush in the playoffs after having a 4-12 season . I would be ok if our rebuilding went like this after fireing a coach or gm and we went 4 -12 yr 1 , 6-10 in yr 2 , and 8-8 in yr 3 , and 11-5 and a 2 rd playoff game in year 4 and a letdown season in year 5 because of injuries. or I would not have a problem going 5-11 yr 1 and 8-8 yr 2 6-10 in yr 3 and then go 10-6 , 12-4 and 3 rd playoff and then superbowl loss but I have a big problem with going 6-10 , 7-9 , 7-9 6-10 , and 7-9 or worse yet . go 8-8 , 6-10 , 7-9 , 7-9 and 7-9 the other side of the coin is I fell like we have a better defense and Lamar Miller and Fasano might be ok but when no scares oppents defenses its hard to feel like the ositive side of the coin.
I understand your frustration, Aqua.... example #1 he says we need playymakers but does nothing he says we wont do this or that but we do it anyways. - I'm not sure which offseasons or players you have in mind for this example example #2 we spend so much money on our oline and its still bad. we trade for Marshall and then we turn right around and trade him we pass on really good players then Ireland makes experinced vets want to avoid us . at some point we have to stop making excusses for Ireland but too many miami fans want to beleive the false hope he is dishing out - Oline may be the OLine coach. We need to wait and see, because the talent has been there, I think, over the years. I never understood why we let GOOD players go. Jake Grove was injury prone so Jeff didn't want to pay him but it you looked at his ratings, he was performing well, I think. Donald Thomas, cut and goes on to play in New England. Strange. The Marshall and Ochocinco things relate to Ireland's unwillingess to draft a wR high, so he has to take chances on vets with 'baggage'. Maybe this is the year Jeff breaks his pattern and goes Cordarrelle Patterson at 12. Not a pick I love, but I'd be happy to see Jeff evolve. example 3 instead of getting rid of our wrost performing players we do the oposite . so how in hell is miami going to amount to something when the sorriest of gms is still lying to the fan base . - This seems more like you're upset than really analyzing the list of players. If you want to list the players, we can talk about them, but it's hard to discuss a general perception. And the lying thing, not sure where that came from. For the record, I don't like Jeff ireland. Really. So I'm not against you on this, I just want something I can discuss more substantively. lol. example #4 none of our texas A&M players are any good at all we seem to take A&M Players because of Mike Sherman well guess what there is no way in hell Miami wins 7 or more games next year ,unless we get after it in f//a and the draft the pretending by Ireland apologist is downright sicking. - Damontre Moore COME ON DOWN! it does nt take 15 years to rebuild and it should never take more then 5 years to make apush in the playoffs after having a 4-12 season . - Just another 3 years or so... Donovan McNabb has spoken.
Here dude... have a happy Friday http://blog.ripleyaudiopost.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/beer-amp-boobs-beer-boobs-****-funbags-weekend-demotivational-poster-1243652155.jpg
Speak for yourself! I'm enthralled. We should sticky this thread, as long as no one tries to have fun or post gifs. We can't have those type of shenanigans.
To be perfectly honest. I am more afraid of Mike Sherman dragging this team down then of Jeff Ireland. Sherman is a stone faced, refuse to change, putz.
15 years to rebuild? That goes back to 98. From 98 to 03 miami was a 10 win team with a superb defense. Not much playoff success, but hardly a team rebuilding. Dont overreact like the rest of the Ireland lynch mob. Ill give you the last 5-10 years, but this year is the tipping point ($40 Mil and 5 picks in rounds 1-3). This is Ireland's last stand, if the team doesnt take a step forward and Ireland has a job, ill grab a torch and pitchfork and join you, but until then, let the next year play out for itself.
assume that was sarcasm. Aquafin's posts/threads not only have painful content, but are usually the worst with respect to grammar and spelling than anyone else on the board. the lovely combination makes anything he writes incredibly painful to read. Jeez, even the title of the thread is painful
I tend to agree with a lot of the criticism of Ireland. The scary thing is that we have a lot of high draft picks and money to spend.....and we have Ireland. If we were a well run organization this could be a pivotal offseason that sets up a potential dynasty, instead we will probably waste most of the draft picks, wind up with a team that has no identity or direction and the cap space is misleading because we have so many starters that are getting to the open market so this offseason is make or break for Ireland. Hopefully he finds his direction and puts the pieces in place, his track record is mediocre at best. Hope for the best, its all we can do.
"The views and opinions expressed in the above post are those of the poster and do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions held by other Jeff Ireland detractors'"
LOL, regardless of spelling and grammar I think his point was Ireland has a golden opportunity this year to push this team forward. If he screws it up he is Toast. Last years free agent class was horrid at best.
Sarcasm is a ***** it always hurts someone and somewhere! lol. Been posted numerous times but it fits this thread:
thanks friend I can use some beer and Boobs i need to spend more time looking at some babes with great boobs until the regular season starts. that is all that is what i am expressing in my original post because I am ready for f/a and player movement to get started already . besides Fear is the only reason I get bent out of shape and until the draft comes its hard to keep my composer .
No it wasnt , I lost my composer and need a beer or two not to mention I need some good dolphin news and I will post more sensilbly of course a good lookin woman would be even better. \ dont worry i have hit my head against the wall and can see the light now.
If he would just say that, then his point would be well taken and respectable. Hard to see the forest through the broken trees.
Last year's FA wasn't even good enough to be called horrid. 8 of 9 free agents didn't even make the squad or some ridiculous number close to that. The problem is that if Ireland doesn't hit the homerun, we are doomed not to 1-15 Hell, but if he does what he always seems to do, and that is blandness, we'll be stuck in that middle hell, which is the one from which you never seem to escape. Not bad enough to get the real impact players at the very top of the draft, which is what you need. Going 8-8, 7-9 or 6-10 every year is worse (believe it or not) than sacrificing one year and going 1-15 or 2-14 to get that franchise changer. We are in this hell because Ireland was in on picking Long instead of Ryan (his supporters can claim that was all Parcells but I just will never buy that Ireland did nothing but get Parcells coffee & donuts during those years), and not having the guts to tell Parcells to stick it, and fire Dan Henning. Looks like the same thing is happening again, because Ireland doesn't have the guts to fire Sherman.
Point taken Ohio, and I guess maybe i shouldn't try to be a comedian and be serious at the same time which was what I have been doing and that is why I do some forgettable stuff on this board.
I hate Jeff Ireland the scout, the football guy. He is a moron when it comes to drafting, building a team. I dont even think he likes football based on his draft choices, I think he is miserable man. I want him as far away from football decisions as possible. But I support him this season because I believe he is removing himself from football decisions. He has gotten rid of everyone in the building who knew what he did over thelast several years and just how stupid he is when it comes to football and draft. He has hired new coaching staff. He brought the whole building to Indy. Football people will have an input and decision making powers on who gets drafted. This is smart in two ways: 1) for the Dolphins because Ireland is not making decisions, and 2) Ireland because he is only responsible to Ross for the job of those he hired. This is a good way to GM the team, and I support that.
For the sake of what keeps us Dolphin fans let us all have hope and excitement for what will be a profitable offseason. I am tired of thinking otherwise. Don't like the sarcasm and complaining that losing has brought. Time to think "happy thoughts"
Why ask if he's heard of Marshall and Bush and just jump over asking if he's ever heard of a dictionary, a thesaurus or meds?
