dude yes, please you guys just stop, please quit it....all you guys are succeeding in is sounding like jackrods.....

I come on here and enjoy reading posts specifically CK, Con, Alen, Boomer(even though he banned me by accident on Twitter), Section's and a few others post, because time is money. I dont have the time to dig or do this stuff myself (speaking from the gurus perspective) which is hours of tape watching and breakdowns...I rely on those guys especially during this time. I dont have time to read the amount of output ALL these guys provide in the club. I need the short and sweet, and give it to me while I am walking...see what I am saying?

As far as Section is concerned, his record is clear whether you like it or not, the dude is in touch with cats that aren't the avg Joe blow fan forum posters. I for one embrace it and again look forward to 126's little nuggets he drops. It is perfect and fits my day, the last thing I would want is for them to start posting exclusively in the club, and it is posters like yourselves that would be to blame.

Please do all of us a favor, relax, sit back, have a drink and enjoy the ride.....

Geez you guys would suck at cultivating CI's and gathering HUMIT......

It's gotta be Dustin Keller. He's someone we don't have to break the bank on, although he's not cheap. STill fairly young, like Marshall was when we acquired him. He fills a big need in this offense.

Are you active duty Navy or a vet? I'm a Navy vet and actually have a version of your avatar as a tattoo (kinda regret that one haha...wish I would have gotten the typical anchor). How did you get that little emblem in the bottom left hand corner of your post?

My guess is a DB. Knowing the history of us signing players with past injury my guess is Brent Grimes. If not then I would say it is either a DB or a TE. I lean more towards DB.

FWIW, I do honestly think that we are targeting a Te in FA.

1 they work cheaper than Wr's
    2. they take so long to develop it makes more sense to let someone else pay them to learn the job, then sign them
    3. offense is screaming for one

Jared Cook, Martellus Bennett, etc are all good players, but I don't think any of them should quality as any team's "top target". JMO.

Word in town is that they're more apt to tag Johnson than Smith. Smith had a great season this year, but he's been pretty inconsistent leading up to this past season. His weight is still an issue with the team.

Shame on me for having an opinion. I was trying to make a statement on a different level. This is what i hate about forums. **** gets taken out of context and then pissing matches start. Lets just bury this where it belongs and talk some football.

I too am a newbie...I don't care about sources. I have no reason to not believe anyone here about who the do or don't correspond with. After all, I'm a fan living PA, so I have little knowledge of who the local sports media types are. I'm sure he is very well connected. Just be a little more humble... I don't respect unless you deserve it.

I doubt either one hits the market Des, Te's are one of the undervalued positions in the NFL cap wise.

I'm thinking Keller/Finley (via trade)/maybe James Casey if they think he can be a full time Te and not an HBack

    Pitta is interesting as well.

It's not questioning "people's" sources, it's questioning Section126. I don't think anyone said anything about Conuficus' source. Your "birdie" is much appreciated and well respected. Boomer's got pretty clear, legitimate sources. I disagree with 90% of what ckparrothead says from an editorial context, but I'll certainly heed when he says he has an inside source.

When Crazy685 and Conuficus noted they knew something, they said something that will eventually be verifiable, but vague enough to have plausible deniability for whomever gave them the information. This is valuable. What Section126 said was basically just self-aggrandizing with no value, and nothing that you'll be able to evaluate. A month from now we'll have a pretty good idea if the Dolphins picked up a guy not many people discussed or at a position that was somewhat unexpected.

I'm not sure his track record is particularly valuable either in that regard. Armando Salguero has made a career of copying lots of stuff that should have died pretty ignominiously on an internet message board into print.

Both Keller and Finley have been pretty well-discussed though, and if it's going to be a more noteworthy/expensive acquisition it's probably not James Casey.

I'm thinking more along the lines of Brandon Myers, Jared Cook, or even Antonio Gates.

I am going all Dr. Phil right now......seriously though just don't entertain it....you really expect 126 to change his moxy?? And 126 doesn't expect you to change either.....

    It is pointless no?

To be fair, my buddy has been right just as much as he's been wrong. When it comes to something like "free agent target" or "possible trade" there are so many behind the scenes variables that can make an otherwise dependable source appear wrong.

He gave me the "Ted Ginn -> San Fran for a mid round pick" info about 24 hours before anyone else broke it. He gave me the information on Reggie Bush being traded.

He also told me Miami and Detroit were in talks to trade Ronnie Brown. He also told me Miami was a big fan of Jake Locker coming out of the draft. He also told me that Miami was going to be a player for Percy Harvin last year.

Things like that are just impossible to verify. I e-mailed him this thread and asked him if he had any sort of knowledge I could piggy back on, so I'll see what he tells me. He knows I repeat what he says. He's one of 4 guys at his position at work so as long as we keep things vague (not disclosing what he did prior, how we were colleagues) I think it's okay.

I told him to not be so ****ing vague though. "Wrong position" is a bull**** cop out, because I at least want to know WHAT we are going after.
