Has Bowe & several others, as expected, getting franchised. Speculates on where each one will land. Right now, he has Wallace to Miami at 4 yrs $50 M based on rumors from SoFlo. Also, interestingly, has Long (rated #21) returning to Miami after the market is thin for him (5 yrs, $37.5M). Also has Starks on the list and getting tagged by the Dolphins (as seems to be the common feeling).

    Good list.

Seems pretty realistic. Nobody really knows what the hell is going to happen, should be fun to watch though. I can't wait.

His analogies seem pretty reasonable for expectations... If nothing more, as Fins fans, we should be happy that there are so many of our guys on this list...

That said, I would be happy with that outcome for the top guys...but I'm with Shamboubou...can't wait...

Did I miss Reggie Bush or did he?

And a WR corps with Wallace, Hartline, Bess, Matthews, and a 2nd round pick is fine with me.

If Bush goes for the 4 year 16.5M like this guy expects, I hope we just keep him for that!

I'd rather have Jennings for a little extra money.

Pretty sensible list and explanations. I still think Wallace will end up getting closer to $10 million than $12 million per year. On the other hand, I think Jake Long will get a little more than what Silva is projecting.

Ed Reed is pretty enticing to me at under $6 million on a one year deal. He's old, but I think he's the kidn of guy that can really elevate the performance of the secondary as a whole. I also like Dwight Freeney as a situational pass rusher on the right side opposite Wake for 2 yrs/$10 million or so. I wouldn't hesitate to draft a promising young edge rusher if one was available even if we had Freeney.

If we sign Jennings, resign Hartline for that money, tag and keep Starks and keep Jake Long I would consider that a pretty fine offseason if I'm honest.

Some of his totals don't add up when you take into consideration some of these team's cap situation

I agree, for an extra 250,000 a year you get Jennings over Hartron… easy call.

This is a well thought out and reasonable guess as to what may happen during Free Agency. The point on tackles is something we should all consider ... even if we don't resign Long there will be some decent alternatives out their for us.

WR will be interesting to monitor. I'm still not a Wallace fan, but Ireland wants to make a splash at a glamor position ... Wallace certainly fits the bill.

Either way, Jeff has some work cut out for him. There's a lot of current Dolphins on this list.

On a very short term deal is much more palatable and easier to cut usually depending on how much is guaranteed. Plus it allows us to grow our WR's in house as I would assume re-signing Hartline means drafting at least 2 WR's in the first 4 rounds.

So basically with the exception of Wallace, we are re-signing our high price players with the hope to get lucky in the draft.
Long and Starks, which I do like them, are not pivotal for this team and probably will cost to re-resign them around 16Mil, this money can be use to get a good pass rusher and CB.
Martin did pretty good and he will get better, Odrick he can be move inside JMO

We've got roughly $40 million in cap. As long as we can get reasonable deals with these guys...why not? Can still add a few FA's and we got 5 high draft picks.

Whoever signs Wallace for $10+ million per season will be trying feverishly to rid themselves of that contract within 2 seasons, particular someone like the Dolphins who run an offense that he does not fit in.

We really only need about 2 million for our rookies as not all their salary counts against the cap.

A guy whose name is sticking with me is the Stealers Manny Sanders, he just strikes me as the sort of low $$$ FA Ireland would target.

I'm not saying that Starks is not a good player, I always like him and would bother me losing him, but we have bigger needs trying to improve the team in other positions and I feel that moving Odrick inside we would be ok....

What the contract averages isn't necessarily what the cap hit will be.

Your draft allocation is also too high.

I am already starting to have misgivings if we sign a average wr like Hartline the best thing is to up grade the #1 #2 and #3 wr spots and draft the te from Noter Dame and then add 2 cornerbacks and 2 olinemen.

Depends, if they lowball him, I could see it happening.

To me, of the scenarios I've read this offseason, the Trade for Miles Austin/resign Hartline/Draft a Te/resign Fasano sound the most likely.

One of the reasons why I want Hartline kept is he has rapport with Tannehill, imo a young Qb simply has to have that when they are first starting out, it is a pattern I've noticed with young Qb's who have been successful over the long term.

Mike Williams also comes to mind, though the Bucs have the $$$ to keep him if they want him

    just offhand:

    Ryan/White
    Manning/Toomer at first
    Schuab/Johnson
