They're going to bring up the trade clause but if the Redskins and Broncos wanted to, they would just have a gentleman's agreement to trade some garbage player for a 6th round pick... there's no way to enforce something like that. However trading picks for "salary cap relief" is complete and utter bull****.
You know how you get can cap relief? Trade Adrian Peterson to the Dolphins for a 7th round pick. Instant relief!
Hey it's the basis you want to build the GML around to make it more real, I'm doing my due diligence of going through the entire CBA. If I'm going through the legal paperwork to make sure its legal, it should be ok. What does it really do, hinders my ability to match some of the bigger contracts. You left it open if there's a gentlemen's agreement between teams ie: the jets and vikings it should be legal and doubt you want to go through and ratify a GML CBA right now.
The same as teams going through and checking their "cap" numbers, at least I'm using a primary source to the NFL function to legalize my case.
I'm just saying that if you are to void it, you need to show me where I am violating league rules. It's never been done before but that's because no one ever thought about it, and being someone who likes to go over the legalities of the league and its relation to the NFL this is a legal trade. Like I said, I'm referencing the Gruden deal, in terms of a large lump of sum being exchanged between teams. Nothing was ratified in terms of the salary cap and cash exceptions in the CBA.
Thank god cut free agency bidding begins tonight... in two days people will just be *****ing about schisno sniping their players then cutting the ones he signs under $550K.
Meanwhile this completely ****s my strategy for the remainder of this year. Clearly this is an issue because Griddles has the Dolphins and wants to retain a competitive edge over a division rival.
Players signed under $550K. Player A you sign for $550K... you're stuck with him. Player B you sign for $549K... you may cut him if you please.
You can look into changing the rules so I can't trade a salary exception next year, but for now it stands! Cause you can't even substantiate any violations to void it. Thank you, but we will follow the ratified league protocals next year.
A division rival? Please... the Jets blow. The Bills are a walking fire sale. The Patriots traded Tom ****ing Brady. I ain't worried one bit.
It's true, how can he make an impartial call if he's a GM in my division and doesn't void it for recognized reasons. I defer this to Mach, who will go over the CBA and tell me where I have violated league rules in terms of the cap and trading.
I've asked you several times to state why this traded should be voided. I don't see any reason too, we are both under the cap, we have our draft picks in order. Just because you say so is not a good enough reason.
In the fairness of this game, I would like GIK to stop trying to take an unfair advantage to this game because of his position of power. He's taken an avenue that allows me to be and other GMs to be more creative and competitive in terms of league transactions. He has also failed to point out violations as I have asked multiple times. I am coming at this from a legal standpoint. I would like the commissioner to stop using his childish tactics to allow a valid trade to go through.
Silence, when a man can not come up with any more lies to battle the truth. The commish hath fallen. Trade valid!
Section 3. Management Rights: The NFL Clubs maintain and reserve the right to manage and direct their operations in any manner whatsoever, except as specifically limited by the provisions of this Agreement.
Yah and it was only allowed in the first place because the CBA doesn't cover coaches. The NFL immediately put the kabosh to trading coaches period the following year. Also the Cowboys/Redskins penalty was given after an UNCAPPED year...I don't get where you come up with overspending in a cap year when there was NO CAP that year. Sorry but GIK doesn't have to prove anything. The burden of proof is on you to show that the NFL allows this...and I can't think of a single case in the last 20 years that wasn't immediately shut down by the NFL.
I'm just going to go with some advice I heard from George Carlin... "Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience." Your trade is void. It isn't changing. So please continue to ***** about it to get out of your system but just be aware that nothing will change.
