Sanders is on national TV saying it, so I didn't expect him to say anything extremely negative even if he was thinking it.
I know CK, but there's something about this kid that I just like, I don't think he's a bad person ya know, and I believe I could take a shot on that kind of risk, just gotta feeling about the way he interacts and the way coaches are paying attention to him, that he's got a good heart but got caught up in the college lifestyle...he's a stud, girls were probably throwing their panties at him, and he relied on his talent for too long...classic reward over risk in this situation imo..he's really talented.
Dion was very genuine in his response imo..I know when someone is BS'in me, he wasn't doing that..maybe the badger is the BS'er, but the red flag on this guy is something I think I would risk..
Maybe he was a broke and came from the gutter, maybe money will change him in a good way, it happens..I don't see evil person here.
Only if they have EXCELLENT change of direction... meaning top-three numbers in the 20-yd shuttle and to a far lesser degree the cone.
It's easily obvious how much Mathieu loves the game, so I feel it's inaccurate to flat out label him as a kid who will never change his ways.
So what do you think it will take? He was caught not one not twice but a few times. Kicked out of school. Said he was gonna go to rehab and change. Then was pretty much not only caught with it, but selling it. If he loved the game so much why would he not stop after the first couple times? Much less the time he gets kicked out of school?
Last I checked we were void at playmakers on both sides of the ball.. Dion Jordan Eddie Lacy Robert Woods Ryan Swope Badger First three rounds with plenty of resources to spare.
NFL.com online coverage is way better than the NFLN version. They are actually showing stuff, not Te'o drinking his gatorade... And it's archived, so you can go back and watch it if you miss out.
Sometimes it takes hitting rock bottom and having the fear of god struck in him with the realization that football will truly be over if he doesn't fix his priorities. That probably didn't happen the first couple times but he knows the NFL is f***in around and won't stand for that crap.
He's better athletically, but when you put the film on, Banks is the one that has better ball skills. My guess is though, Banks gets moved to safety while Rhodes stays at corner. Banks would give you a safety with Ed Reed type ball skills. He did start at free safety as a true freshman at Mississippi State.
Badger..I gotta new nick name..crouching tiger hidden dragon.. Love the way he plays so low, Dion just took the word out of my mouth, ridiculous".. Agreed..
You may be right..he took his talent for granted, didn't work hard, and screwed up on multiple chances..This one is all gut KB for me..but I do know that I believe in his talent, and to me thug has a different connotation then what your implying..
TBH, I think someone will get a steal in Moore in maybe late rd #2 early rd #3, some guys just play better than they test. He pulled a quad on his 40 run, and IMO Mingo is pushing into that Von Miller class of player, some just don't like his game, but you can see the movement skills, would love to see more of his get off the LoS, ditto Dion Jordan Would not touch Warner with a ten foot pole, not all that athletic, questionable motor, and I have a mistrust of FSU front 7 players.
Maybe it's just me, but I absolutely love Trufant's attitude. I think the kid could be a really good player.
Matthieu is a class A knucklehead. People will fall in love with his upside, but IMHO, knuckleheadness is the kryptonite of upside.
