$500k? or $100k? Hey it's all good. If you want to use up one of your five bids doing that, be my guest
I was saying on my team he will be a #4/5. Irl he was a 3 for dallas and a 2 for Jacksonville til he got hurt
The 49ers would like to welcome: RB Brandon Saine - Best hands of his former Green Bay Packers, as stated by Aaron Rodgers, should be a good option on 3rd downs OLB Dezman Moses - Who proved he can produce as an undrafted free agent OLB Jerry Hughes - Had his best season last year recording 41 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 PD, he should be a solid back up to either Aldon Smith or Melvin Ingram.
Vikings Making Moves as Offseason Begins The Minnesota Vikings quietly came to terms today with three players, including several that may possibly compete for starting roles. Most notably, the Vikings signed former Kansas City wide receiver Steve Breaston. Breaston struggled for the Chiefs last year, managing only 7 catches. However, in the 4 years prior to that he went over 700 yards every year - it looks like the Vikings are making a calculated gamble that he will return to form. Minnesota also signed wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe, most recently of the Washington Redskins. Briscoe is viewed by the team as a project wide receiver in the same mould of Danario Alexander. Rounding out the acquisitions for the Vikings is Jason Allen. Allen has had several stops during his NFL career, most notably as a member of the Houston Texans, where he appeared in all 16 games. Allen is expected to add depth at cornerback, but rumors are that the Vikings like him at safety as well.
The Packers signed RB/return man Leon Washington today as well as resigning LS Brett Goode and P Tim Masthay to reduced contracts.
The Steelers began the process of restocking their roster. Several role players signed. we signed Adam Weber who had a strong showing for Denver and impressed TB coaching staff last year is a bit of a project but at a min contract is no risk high reward type player we feel will benefit from joe lombardis system brought over from NO. Alex Green is a guy that has a ton of talent but hasnt put it together, but we feel again at a min $ teaming him with Polk and Gore at rb, where he doesnt have to be all end all, he will thrive. Excited about his potential. another former packer is TE Ryan Taylor who will be a solid #2 and learn from Heath Miller and a solid target in the seam. We have also brought in Emanuel Acho at OLB/De, he was with Clev last year and had injury issue but has a ton of upside and in LeBeau's system can be a beast down the road. We have also brought back in William Gay as a nickel /dime back for just above minimum, we feel his maturity in this role will help us immensely. GM JMH refused to address the media saying only that many irons are in the fire and would address questions at a later time.
Nope. Love the overbidding going on. Be interesting to see the cap #'s once tags are in and cut signings are done. Watching Giacomini being the latest overpay.
Seein some of these numbers, Brandon Graham is on the block. http://www.thephins.com/forums/showthread.php?74333-Eagles-Trade-Block
Very interesting how some much some of these players are going for. I would not have thought linemen such as TJ Lang would go for $5.0M (hell even Willie Colon is nearly at $4.0M) but then again I paid $7.0M for Wade Smith so what do I know?
Has anyone heard from mach since it was revealed that the Raiders are interested in drafting Geno Smith at #3 overall? I'm kinda worried for his safety. Geno's and Machs...
I'm not sure if I like the free agency period starting with the regular nfl free agency period, march 12th... going to get confusing.
Hell I am thinking not only a high comp pick for Levitre but I might get Chad in the top 32 also the way linemen are going. I got 2 good FA guards. At this rate I will draft a guard. My line is solid already with Monroe/Wood and Urbik.
The Rams... after signing P Mike Scifres... he failed a drug test upon his physical, too much deer antler spray to the kicking foot... he is being released. We like Johnny Hekker anyway, three time rookie of the week candidate.
Next year I am holding onto my linemen. You guys neglect your OL in trading and it leads to this drastic overpay. Hell some of my backups got more promise then these guys going for $4 mill LOL.
The 49ers are excited to welcome QB Case Keenum. The 49ers will look to place Keenum behind Alex Smith and will compete for the backup position. Keenum was an undrafted free agent out of the University of Houston and was signed to the Houston Texans roster in 2012. Keenum shined in his last year at U of H with 5,631 yards passing, 9.3 yards per attempt, 48 touchdowns to just 5 interceptions.
