http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...aft-post-combine-predictions-for-all-7-rounds I could live with this draft for Miami. 1. Xavier Rhodes, CB, FSU 2. Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame 2a. Justin Hunter, WR, Tenn 3. Justin Mills, OL, La Tech 3a. Kenny Stills, WR, Oklahoma 4. Johnathan Franklin, RB, UCLA 5. Zeke Motta, S, Notre Dame 7. Terrence Brown, CB, Stanford 7a. Tommy Bohanon, FB, Wake Forest
Zeke Motta better be moving to LB- I don't know if he's draftable as a S from what I saw of him at the combine as per speed and quicks.
I'd likely prefer an OL over a S in rd 5, and I am not a fan of Motta. I'd be happy to come away with that draft though.
I 2nd both of those notions. And I agree, that'd be pretty solid. Maybe Quinton Patton for me instead of Justin Hunter.
Not bad but there's room for improvement. Couple of picks would frustrate me with the talent we leave on the board. If Jarvis Jones and Werner are both on the board at 12 and we pass, I'll be somewhat upset with Rhodes at 12. And I couldn't say I would be happy passing on some of the WR's available for Hunter and Stills. They have us passing on Swope too, which is just untrue. I said it before and I'll say it all the way through. He's a Miami Dolphin unless some team reaches high for him and steals him from us. He'd be a day one starter. Ireland won't pass on that.
I totally agree. I could live with Miller's draft but just looking at the players drafted in the next 10 picks or so, I'd change most of them. Using his rankings as for who went in the following picks I would go like this: 1. Jarvis Jones 2. Zach Ertz 2a. Stedman Bailey 3. Barrett Jones 3a. Ryan Swope 4. Jamar Taylor 5. Stepfan Taylor 7. Terry Hawthorne 7a. Bohanon
Where do I sign up for that draft? Wow, I would be berry happy with Rhodes, Eifert, Hunter, and Stills. Don't know much about the others but that is some monster upside in those picks. EDIT: I overlooked Franklin who is one of my favorite players in the draft.
I love Round Two with Eifert and Hunter. Rhodes at 12 may be a bit tad too high. I would love if we could move down for a team needing someone like Lane Johnson.
Actually, I wouldn't, just seems like we are just backfilling offseason holes instead of making progress in upgrading our talent. for example Sherman was not a Top 15 pick, and yet we'd want to draft a comparable player in the top 15?
I don't understand this line of thought, but I hear it quite a bit. If you knew what you were getting with Sherman, he would have gone in the top 10. You're not comparing them as prospects, you're comparing Rhodes to the player we see now with Sherman. If a QB reminds you of Tom Brady, I hope you wouldn't think you could get him in the 6th round.
So you are asking if we want to draft a guy who is comparable to an All Pro corner in the top 15? Do you realize how silly that sounds?
