Ah...so many trade blocks I tend to miss half of them especially when half the folks are just looking to move overpriced average joes. I usually think "Ok..on the lookout for DT"...scour over team pages and poke folks ;p What kills me is when people don't shop (although I'm guilty of this to with fast trading). I see some guys go and wish that I had known cause I would have offered more.
Happens all the time, people tend to trade with those they know or have a history of dealing with because of familiarity. Of course some times you don't expect to see some of the cuts you do. From now on everyone will know to mass PM players of interest.
Doubt it, we do this **** every year, same thing as always. People never learn. History is to be remembered and appreciated, but those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
it's all good. I think I've made like two threads in the trade forum, one bein my trade block and the other saying Murray was for trade. I've done this for far too long, like 11 years or so...I don't trade much like I used to hahaha. so you just have to catch me on a good day. and seein as how I've been on vacation the past 10 days, I've drank a lot and forgotten to respond to a couple people. so my bad on that.
Yah if I didn't have Spiller and Hunter I may have poked you about that. Right now my issues seem to lay in DT's and LB's. I got a couple young and growing DT's...but would like to put a veteran guy with that group. I figure trading might pick up between FA and the draft once people have blown their load cap wise and still need to make some moves. I don't know if I will trade as much next year....have to see what team I have. With Buffalo I just figured the whole team needed blowing up ;p
By the way...if you got Club Level access guys....Club Level draft is happening again....teams are being picked already the last couple days...get in there or miss out!
The more I look over Buffalo's defense...I wouldn't expect them to be the pushovers they were this past year in real life. Seriously it seems like outside of Byrd....EVERY player had a down year playing for his outdated vanilla scheme. Mike P. is going to look like a genius next year when all he's doing is fixing the Wanny stench.
I think the linebacking group is alright but they'll need to bring in more of a difference maker into that group. Dareus, Williams and Williams should rebound next season but I'm not sure Mark Anderson is going to be able to contribute the way he did the season he was with the Patriots, but this is a deep draft class for the defensive line so after they address a few issues on offense Buffalo will be a trendy dark horse pick for next season.
The Jacksonville Jaguars signed WR Michael Jenkins to a $600,000 contract over the weekend, bolstering one of the league's top WR corps. Jenkins (30) had 40 receptions for 449 yards and two TDs last season. At 6-4, 215, Jenkins adds a needed red-zone target to a group that features three WRs that recorded more than 900 receiving yards last year: Stevie Johnson (1,046/6), Miles Austin (943/6) and Cecil Shorts (979/7). "We were looking for value and we got it," Jagurs GM Bdogtitan11 said. "I was surprised he was still around. Michael really rounds out our WRs and gives us something that we didn't have, which was a big possession-type receiver. With him, I'd put our four against anyone else."
The Jacksonville Jaguars would like to welcome WR Chris "7-11" Hogan to the team. We feel he is a great addition to our team and could develop into something special down the line. At 6'1 and 215, he has great size for a WR and the athleticism to match with a 4.50 forty-yard dash. He is still just 24 years old and we feel like he is just touching the surface of his potential. He played lacrosse at Penn State and football at Monmouth. Ironically, he played defensive back at Monmouth and was converted to a WR in the NFL. As a former lacrosse player myself you can see how he uses his footwork from lacrosse (short, choppy steps, sudden movements and excellent jukes) to get open with ease. We feel we really lucked out getting a player of this caliber for the bare minimum. Here are some comments from Dolphins players and coaches: QB Ryan Tannehill, "Hogan, always open." OC Mike Sherman, "This Hogan kid, does everything right. Catches the ball. Great route runner. GM Jeff Ireland, "He is like your secret weapon. He's caught more balls than anyone on the freaking field. I mean the guy just gets open." HC Joe Philban, "He's gotten better too... Gosh he is really dependable, he's reliable. I think the Quarterbacks, I think all of them kind of trust him and that's a big part of playing the wide receiver position. " HB Reggie Bush, "Give it to 81, he always open... He can't be stopped. All he does is get open... Open for business 24 hours a day 7 days a week." QB David Garrard, "Very deceptive. He ain't blazing fast, he ain't going to outrun you, just get open. He knows how to run routes.
You mad you cut him? And if you did some research he actually made the active roster for the Bills at one point last year. They say it takes 3 years for WRs to develop anyway. Next year is his 3rd year... watch out, especially considering he played lacrosse and DB at Monmouth. There should be an adjustment to the NFL coming from that competition.
It was mentioned along with the different GML winners last year. But yeah Buckeye won last year, this year will be slightly different in the fact that I think we're introducing Free Agents this year. You get your salary for the 14 expansion draft picks and whatever you save if you do, gets to be used towards a tier level of FAs. So you get 40 million, use up 32 million on expansion picks, then you can use 8 million on a FA list where tier 1 is probably 5 million, tier 2 is 3 million etc...
