Who would like to list the top 3 most underrated free agents at a position of need for the Dolphins? I would be interested to see some lesser known names other than Wallace and Cook, although I like them.

At WR I don't know that any of the lesser known guys are worth going after. So I'll go with Keenan Lewis at CB, Dustin Keller or Delanie Walker at TE, and Michael Bennett at DE.

I like Keller. Walker intrigues me, like a better version of Clay. I didn't watch all of Walker's games, but he definitely did not look sure-handed. I'd rather have Keller.

CB: Greg Toler, Brent Grimes, Derek Cox, Keenan Lewis, Antoine Cason (though Im not sure he fits us scheme wise)
TE: Ed Dickson (RFA), Delanie Walker
DT: Israel Idonije (very good player who even at 4-5M would be underpaid)
LB: Rey Maualuga, Phillip Wheeler, Antwan Barnes, Will Witherspoon (can play 3 LB positions tho best suited for WLB)
S: Glover Quin, Chris Clemons (Yeah our Chris Clemons...hes not spectacular but hes slightly above average and would be very good if he could create more TO's), Pat Chung (Hard hitter who has other elements to his game)
OL: Joe Berger (versatile and pretty good at all 3 interior OL spots), Louis Vasquez
WR: Ramses Barden (tall wr will be looking for a chance to prove he can do it consistently)
DE: Osi Umenyiora (strip sack specialist just what the doctor ordered for a team that doesnt cause TO's), Jason Jones (grinder and he plays mean)

    Well away from here
    WR: Kevin Ogletree - Dallas

And Boik, didn't we have Joe Berger before. I don't know if he's underrated as he is just not that good.

I think he's been here twice. Early in his career and then after a stay with Dallas.

Barden intrigues me. Vasquez as well, but does he have the athletic side to him?

I would sign Idonije. Would put one of our rotation guys out on the street, but would be an upgrade. He would fit in nicely with Starks and Soliai.

I'm not sure Vasquez is under the radar. There has been a lot of buzz surrounding him for some time now and him and Levitre are going to get overpaid due to them being the best of a not so great OG FA pool

I know folks are aware of Vasquez and Levitre. They are considered to be two of the better guards by personnel guys based on what I have read. I would love to have one of them, but the draft has some decent options at that position.

No offense to Incognito and Jerry, but Miami needs a different approach at guard that meets Philbin's zone blocking schemes. I would not cry if they got the big guy from Alabama in the first round.

Both would be upgrades to what Miami has now but they won't come cheap. Not sure I want Miami spending huge money an OG. Someone like Geoff Schwartz would come at a much more reasonable price tag.

Chance Warmack isn't really a zone blocker though. Jonathan Cooper is a better fit as a zone blocker. He's got better feet and is far more athletic. Obviously, he's not as strong as Warmack. Warmack is a phone booth player. When he gets his hands on you, it is over. However, based on the film that I've seen, Warmack is not a guy that you want to be trying to make second level blocks.

Watching Alabama I can recall many instances of Warmack getting out and blocking linebackers just fine.

I did watch some tape Mayock played where he got to the second level. I will say KB that some of his athletic measures at the combine concerned me. But I know many have viewed him as one of the best overall players in the draft. It is possible the OG situation can be addressed in free agency, where there are some guys available.

o Tyler Polumbus was by far the worst OL for Washington and per PFF he's one of the worst OTs on the market

o Rob Jackson OLB but he's restricted

o Fred Davis TE but he's coming off an achilles injury, but check the numbers he's one of the best TEs out there and he's knows your scheme well

o Santana Moss would be the best WR on your team even if you re-sign Hartline, but your timing/money has to be right...Moss isn't a FA but he's proly gonna be cut then re-signed

True but not against the type of Dline athletes he is going to face now on a game to game basis. Not saying this Warmack is a bad player but I am saying some one is going to way over pay for this kid. I honestly believe he is not going to be up to par at the NFL level and its speed. Kid is good but he sure in hell is not superman and not an offensive tackle, he is a guard and it ends there.

How would you compare him to the guards who went in the 1st round last year? DeCastro and Zeitler.

I don't know he's incapable of being successful on the second level, but I'm not sure you want him running outside zones all day. Which may be the direction Miami wants to go in.

This is a little silly because it is based purely on the eyeball test and measurables at the Combine, as I have not actually seen him play, but Terron Armstead intrigues me. Physically, he absolutely looks the part and has incredible quickness, speed and athleticism for his size. He's listed as an OT and if he can play there, that would be great, but it isn't hard to imagine him being an unbelievable movement/pulling guard with that size, build and athleticism. Yes, there is much more to it than just speed or quickness, but those are pretty good tools to work with. It seems he is projected as a 2nd-3rd round guy and we have a bunch of picks in there. From the descriptions I have seen, he is already a pretty good player so his downside shouldn't be that significant and his upside would seem to be quite high.

Who is the best free agent guard in terms of zone blocking? Has the speed and athletic ability?

IMO DeCastro and Zeitler both are more of the mobil types. Warmak is a plain road grader. He is a first rounder but the talking heads are talking him up as possibly a top 10 pick. I can see a good guard going somewhere in the early 20s to late 20s but not top 10 IMO.

Andy Levitre. But I am hearing he is asking Logan Mankins type money. Not sure he is that good. Hell, Mankins is not even that good. I have watched Mankins for years. Guy is good but man some people thinks he walks on water.

Natural fit for our flipped-side SAM hybrid as he played a similar role in Houston. Linebacker in base; right end in nickel.
Upgrade over Misi, is a better pass rusher, more athletic, more versatile, accustomed to playing on the right side, and makes more impact plays than Misi.
Barwin will likely outplay his contract thanks to Houston driving down his price by drafting Mercilus whom Houston gave a percentage of Barwin's snaps to, likely so they could groom Mercilus to replace Barwin rather than dishing out a big contract while their cap situation is already tight).
This would address our pass rush opposite Wake, and we wouldn't have to worry about re-signing Misi next year. Perhaps trade him to a cap troubled team who could use a quality hybrid linebacker at a cheap price.

    Go get him Mr Ireland.

Barwin was my choice for Miami in the 1st round of the 2009 Club Level Mock Draft. My early 2nd was Jairus Byrd. Cannot recall the late 2nd. Guess I need to search. I'm curious now.

How about your other favorite Texan? James Casey.

Edit: Byrd was my late 2nd round pick. The early one was Clint Sintim
My 3rd rounder was Keenan Lewis.
So, 3 of the first 4 would have been good picks. Sintim was bitten by injuries since being in the NFL. Quite unpredictable in his case.
