Wow the combine really hurt Banks... Also I agree with Werner being higher than Ziggy. He has so much hype surrounding him that Werner may be able to drop to us
I'd be more than thrilled to take Banks in round 2 if teams want to let him fall because of the scouting combine. Won't hurt my feelings at all
I like EJ Manual, but couldn't put him above Barkley. I'm not a huge Geno Smith fan either, and not sure I'd put him above Barkley.
I think Smith can be good but not sure he can start day 1. I think Barkley is the only QB that can start day 1. How effective he can be is to be determined.
This years QB class is very underwhelming. Wouldn't surprise me if Manuel ended up being the best from this group.
I'm not quite sure why you don't find Banks to be physical? That and being aggressive is what he's known for. If not for hos 40 he's a first round lock. Banks can cover. Thats what I want out of my corners. Picks and receivers not holding footballs
Barkley is the #1 QB in this draft IMO. Had he come out last season there is a good chance we'd have taken him at 8 rather than Tannehill, if he had even fell that far.
Banks has good ball skills. That's the main thing we need from our DBs. Get their hands on passes and hang on to them. I'd take that over a big hitter any day. In the new NFL those big hitters are going to hurt you with penalties as much as they'll help you. I compare his situation to Sam Madison in 1997. Sam was the 7th or 8th corner taken at 44th overall, because he ran a 4.56 forty. He should have been the 3rd corner taken after Shawn Springs and Bryant Westbrook.
