    Interesting.

Because our WRs weren't scoring. Brandon Marshall should have had 11 TDs but he couldn't catch the damn ball, and Hartline as has shown refuses to get open in the red zone. I assure you, we'd be targeting our WRs more in the redzone, if they did anything to illicit confidence down there.

Stop[ making this cyclical. Welker was only a 3rd WR here. He was used more than that up there. Hartline, for the billionth time, whas been used at every other WR spot (is spot a better term for you?), he's had 4 different QBs and three different offenses. What specifically are you holding on to here? There's no real variables left.

How about as a wide receiver group score more than 3 touchdown combined in a season

If you say so. Official rosters don't list #1, #2 and #3 WR. Neither do depth charts. Pro Bowl voting isn't based on separate slots for such "roles." Playbooks may refer to X, Y, Z etc. but not usually #1, #2, and #3 as distinct "positions," as opposed to options on a particular play. And Philbin himself has said we don't have labels of #1, #2, #3, etc.:

Hartline doesn't refuse to get open in the red zone. He had a few drops there too. It happens.

Keep insisting that there is some finite, inherent distinction between TD-scoring WRs and non-TD scoring WRs. Repeat it over and over again. It still won't make it true.

Rather have a QB that throws more than 12.

Wes Welker had 99 targeted passes for Miami in 2006, his last in Miami. Marty Booker had 90. Chris Chambers had 150 targets.

As I have been saying, #1, #2, and #3 is nothing but a label. Wes Welker was a slot receiver in Miami, and he's a slot receiver in New England. The difference between Miami and New England is two fold: First, New England has been much more stable at quarterback with one of the very few elite guys in the league, and New England knows how to use him to maximize what he does well. Wes Welker needs New England more than New England needs Wes Welker. He would not be able to duplicate his production in another system with another quarterback.

Brian Hartline is a receiver that has average to slightly above average size, average speed, but above average short area quickness. He's also a very precise route runner. Because of his quickness and his route running, he can create separation, and this is the reason his TD production will improve as Ryan Tannehill improves within the offense.

Here..I disagree..dude has arms that look like the guy at rent a center who wants to sell you a projection screen TV

He has garden snake arms..not pythons....

There is a lot of truth to the labeling of white athletes as "smart or heady" an black athletes as "explosive"

Of course, there are no Mexican athletes, just swimmers...:shifty:

(jus poking fun at you Lucky)

espn seems to only keep track of targets to the 2006 season but hartline is the only wr since at least 2006 to have 115 plus targets and only 1 td

I see Hartline as a faster Troy Brown and I'm glad we kept him. A little high on the #2 salary, but Ireland already admitted he didn't see the rise in WR salaries last season, so it appears he's adjusting his salary brackets to match the market pricing.

Same way white DEs or LBs are described as being "High motor." It's a politically correct way to say "he's pretty good for a white guy."

Yeah, happy to have Hartline on board, but he better start getting in the end zone more often for that kind of money.
