I'd be happy with the other Cornellius--- Washington. Wait till an NFL coach gets a hold of him and molds him into a pass rusher.
Was thinking of it b/c Jones is ascending, might play just as well as Burnett this year, but would be cheaper & younger.
Now we're thinking outside the box. I'm hoping we can trade down with a team who wants Ogeltree. But I would have no problem plugging him in at WLB and grooming him to replace Dansby in a year or two. Btw, whatta you think of Rambo and Washington?
Most likely because it sounds like a British tea or biscuit. "Ogletree's Tea" or "Ogletree's Tea Wafers"
Ok, so hypothetically let's say Ireland has Wallace and intends to draft Tavon Austin; who's the best compliment at TE?
I'm a Travis Kelce fan. I also think Eifert has rare skills. He's like Jason Witten. And I'm not even close to giving up on Egnew. Not even close.
If we're hypothetically going with a lot of 3 WR formations with Austin, I could see Kelce being a good fit for often having just 1 TE on the field. Agree about Egnew. How 'bout FA TEs? Would you be fine passing on them and rolling with Kelce, Egnew, and Clay?.... and perhaps Gragg added to the mix as well?
Wow. Sean Smiths leverage continues to fall. C'mon home big dog. We've the got the best weather and the finest strippers that a new contract can buy.
I like Cook but he's inconsistent. I like Keller. I like Bennett. But they all have issues. I really like Charles Clay. I just think he's misused. I also think Finley is in play too.
Very true.... although the less appealing ones in Kansas City work harder for twenty bucks.... and the ones in Buffalo will even get under your car and change your oil.
Youre probably right but I'm holding out hope. If enough teams say nah, I'd rather sign a Dunta, DeAngelo, Winfield for pennies on the dollar then Smith might end up taking less than he originally asked. It's a long shot I know, and even if he does leave the pool of decent corners who can be had for less is continuing to grow. Win-win.
I hear the strippers in Buffalo accept kibbles and bits as payment. And **** an oil change, our strippers will get IN your car and give u an awesome lube job.
Take it for what it's worth but I've read that teams are concerned enough with Kelce's character issues he might be had in the 3rd.
Holy hell.... Would it be dupid to salivate over the thought of...a WR core consisting of Wallace, Hartline, Bess and Austin...?
Trade Bess and draft Stedman Bailey. I would be all over that! I think Bailey is going to be something special, maybe the best WR in this draft when all is said and done.
No. For me, Wallace, Hartline, Austin, Bess and someone else is how I feel it could play out. Bailey, Woods, Patton all fit as the other guy.
Might? Burnett is fine with me. If it isn't broke then it doesn't need fixing. That's the 1st time I've read anyone questioning Burnett.
I would still have liked Egnew getting his cleats dirty last season. I havnt given up on him either but I would have tried to shoe him into some game time.
You said 'might' play just as well. I know what you mean but Burnett isn't a player/position that needs like for like replacement. U get me?
You really feel that they would be willing to spend 2/5 top picks on receivers after adding Wallace on a big money deal? Not saying I would be opposed I just don't see it unless someone slips and presents value you can't say no to.
That's fine... but no need for you to twist my words to make it seem like I'm questioning Burnett's ability in this defense. U get me?
Jeff Ireland lives and dies by Ryan Tannehill. As Parcells and Sparano did with Henne. You get him as much help as possible. Lot depends on what happens in FA.
