My wish list is coming true. Wallace-Keller-Hartline-Bess-Miller. that's a pretty good lineup for Tannehill. Hopefully Keller gets healthier coming down south.
Now, use the #12 on Xavier Rhodes, 2nd round pick on RT and another WR.

And we are doing... what... with that 2nd round WR?

If you mean the Jets playbook, I'd guess last year's version is already outdated. The Sparano offense of a loose leaf notebook and plays drawn on notebook paper with crayons. :shifty:

There are already plenty of Sparano playbooks in the Dolphins facility; check the toilet paper rolls.

I don't expect Rhodes. He's best playing man press coverage and we are converting to more zone. IMO, the 2nd corner taken, by us or whomever, will be Trufant when it's all said and done.

    WAIT!!

    This coming from Arm-and-oh???

Unfortunately, that certainly means Keller is actually on the West Coast about to sign with the lightning bolts.

Next report that ignoramous gets right, will be the first.

Be nice to get this done. Wanted him from the beginning because I felt the price will be right and he wouldn't try to rob the bank.
Now that the high profile FA TE's are off the board, it makes sense grabbing him now barring a clean physical.

I think this is a done deal. It makes too much sense for Keller to sign with us.

    Boston, MA...
My lasting memory of this guy is him getting blasted over the middle by Ray Lewis on primetime...Still great to watch over and over again.

I love the Ellerbe+Wheeler signings, not too happy about Wallace, and would have preferred we just draft a TE instead of signing Keller...

He has caught 60.6% of his passes over his 5 year career so it could be worse. The ankle injury is the main issue, so that physical will be vital.

I don't have an inside source or anything but since i've watched football and since the free agency boom i've noticed that players switch teams within their own division quite a bit. You see it all the time. How many Ex Dolphins have the Patriots and Jets picked up over the years? How many ex Colts go on to play for the Titans or Jaguars? The Giants and Redskins seem to swap players every year as do the 49ers and Seahawks....The Vikings love ex Packer players while the Packers love ex Bear players....Paul Kruger just inked a deal with the Browns.
On top of that there seems to be some bad blood between Keller and the Jets (maybe behind closed doors) so it makes even more sense for Keller to sign with Miami so that he can burn his old team twice a season. Thats my theory on why I think this is a done deal.

Where have you seen that? Not putting you on the spot in an adversarial fashion, but moreso out of curiosity and interest.

I'd be happier with Keller than I would have with Cook. Sanchez was the only thing holding him back, and he was still productive.

I haven't seen that anywhere...I'm basing it off of the way things ended last year. The fight with Cromartie, the fact that his coach is a douche and Sparano is an even bigger douche. His QB is horrible and thats being nice..Keller had injury woes last year as well. It would be best to put it all behind him and move on. He expressed frustration as well....After the week 10 game he came out and said "this was the worst game of my career". Jets seem to think they can find an easy replacement for Keller.
As for the injury prone stuff...He's played in 78 of the 86 games the Jets have had since he's been drafted.

Not only that, but for the most part he played in a run first offense. Thus the reason Jet fans are blasting him about not being able to block.

No, the book on him is he's bad at diagnosing plays from the zone. He's also not very aggressive at run support, although to my eye he plays outside contain adequately.

    Keller is tough.

This is just an anecdote, but one of my best fuzzy Keller memories is of somebody nearly knocking him out on a play. He either never left the game or came back into the game a couple of plays later and made a crucial catch. Dude shouldn't have been on the field and he made a clutch play, anyway.

I am not sure if this was a game vs. the Phins; I was not happy with the play, I do remember that.

Keller is the only Jet other than Chad Pennington that I have respected throughout his Jets tenure. Pennington worked out pretty well as a Phin, IMO.

This guy would really open things up for our passing game, especially with Jake Long being gone.
