actually, if you can, grilling out sounds pretty nice. Cook up him a big steak (maybe even marinate it first), six pack of his favorite beer, throw around the football.

my old man is a swordfish and venison fiend, maybe I can find a way to get him some of that online (he's 600 miles away)

My dad just retired, so I remodeled the second house on our property so he and my mom could live in it. All he did was fill it full of their belongings, and move in to the house with my wife and I. Its okay though, its better than them being some place where we couldn't take care of them. Of course, we spent about $45,000 to remodel it, and its just being used for storage. Long story short, I'm not buying him a damn thing for fathers day ,but I will barbecue for him.

yeah that stuff all sounds good for most dads... but my dad is weird. doesn't like fishing/hunting, doesn't do any sports, doesn't even own a BBQ to grille on. all he does is work, read, and clean.

    :D

maybe i should get him some fancy cleaning agents or something. some new car wax or something lol.

    CLEARLY he has a *****, else i wouldn't be here ;)

no the guy is definitely a dude... he's always out in the yard mowing, washing/waxing cars, doing fatherly homeowner stuff. in the evenings he reads books and does stock research online. he's hardcore about his job & cleanliness/being proud of his possessions.

i think the mug will work. also looking at this site:

    http://www.aviationshoppe.com/catalog/messerschmitt-me262-p-92.html

more cool gifts if your dad is into history or aviation at all.
