I googled it. The intrenets would never lie.

Oh, and nevermind about the growing up thing. I've decided that in my mind you actually are a midget, which makes reading your posts way more entertaining. You have this red booster seat on a computer chair and your chubby little legs wiggle furiously when you type. For some reason you always wear shorts. Pofo and the phins in general will be a much more fun place with this new reality.

Look man, you're the one that said you didn't want to draft Austin because of what happened with Ginn. I called that stupid because it is.

You're the one that also seems to think that when someone says, "we don't need to draft X position high, but find the right guys" means the same thing as throw any scrub out there. That is also stupid.

The problem isn't me pointing out what's stupid, its probably the things that are stupid.

    Huh?

    You said:
Now, I'll happily admit, I may have misunderstood your jumbled, incoherent post, but it sure seems like you did in fact say we shouldn't draft Austin because of what happened with Ginn and White.

As for the discussion at hand, I'm firmly in the draft Austin camp. Winning is about point differential. Of the people likely to be there at 12, I think he helps the Dolphins the most, and has the most unique skill/ability set. I don't see anyone else close to him.

Again, the original point isn't an opposing thought, its a stupid comparison.

Its a stupid comparison on a number of different levels at that.

If you want to say drafting Austin is a bad idea because he's small or because there's better talent at different positions or because you think Patterson will be better, than those are legitimate reasons for discussion.

However, when I'm told that drafting Austin would be a mistake because of Ted Ginn or Pat White, then I;'m going to point out the sheer unmitigated epic stupidity of that statement.

Besides, I challenge you to go back to the start of this argument I had with him, you'll find I was respectful till he got, "sarcastic".

Please read and comprehend post #13 ( that's one right after 12 but if you read 14, well then you went to far) I state that his small frame isn't the most reassuring thing to back up his college stats. Then in later post continue to tell you the comparison wasn't to ginn but rather drafting a player, just off of playmaking ability but you were to dense to understand that.

Banks instincts are perfect for zone, but I do question his tackling and run support in a quarters system, which keeps everything in front of you and is predicated on making that tackle on underneath stuff.

Banks is a reach at 12 anyways, given some of his limitations.

More of a 20-35 guy (like a lot of players in this draft!)

If Tank Carradine checked out healthy, he and Werner are worthy of a 12.

Not a fan of banks, I like Xavier then trufant and jamar Taylor. Xavier is the only one that should go high other two not sure if they last until our second round pick but are too high at 12

So exactly why is the situation more like the Ted Ginn situation and not similar to Miami's interest in Percy Harvin in 2009? I'm just curious, because Percy also brought that wow factor with his explosiveness. The difference is, Percy's short area quickness was much better than Ted Ginn's. Ted Ginn is a straight line athlete who was going to be a deep threat/return specialist at best in the NFL.

    Dear god this is tiresome.

You compared Ginn to Austin. I don't care if the comparisons were in build, playmaking ability, hype, speed, position...because they are all wrong. There is nothing similar between the two players. Ginn's failures have nothing to do with Austin. The main concerns with Austin like size, have nothing to do with Ginn. These two players do not compare.

If you had kept your bull**** to just size and left Ginn out, you'd have a valid argument, but you went on to compare "their slight builds" too. Austin is not slight, he is short. Ginn is not short, he is slight.

It's simple we need help at corner and can draft one in the first or second to help take care of that

Got to have a team that wants to trade up to do that. The difference between 11 and 45 in this draft isn't that much. I doubt teams are going to be interested in moving up this year.

Obviously, there has to be another team willing (wanting really) to move up. And, I think there could be. St. Louis and Minnesota both have two 1st rounders to work with. And, Miami is sitting just outside the blue chip talent pool. It only takes one to fall to make us a good spot to move up to. Yeppers, I really like where we are at #12.

Silly argument. We have 2 journeymen starting CBs. Our Offense will be vastly improved with 3 quality WRs and a playmaking TE. WHY WHY WHY WHY draft a 3rd or 4th WR when the OBVIOUS need is at CB. Silly.

I think we can all see that you have a man crush on Austin and would like to see him on the team. But it would not be a sound decision and (not that they matter) but if Miami took him at 12 the draft "gurus" would be extremely confused.

You can heavily utilize a 3rd wide receiver and if he's a better player than the others available at the time it's the very definition of sound.

Are there any 3-4 DEs in the draft in the later rounds that can potentially become interior pass rushers for Miami. Someone like a Jay Williams from around 2002.

Chance Warmack at 12? They've totally ignored the interior offensive line and it's not like Jerry was great last year. Jerry would make a nice swing backup at the tackles, while Warmack would be a Dolphin for over a decade at LG. Not a bad choice at 12.

Except that four years ago, at the time, Jerry Hughes was a very good player. Which rather pisses on your chips.

But colour me HILARIOUS that someone like you would remember that and bring it up as if you're point scoring. Doubtless you've dined out on the stuff the Con and Chris and Alen and Keith and I have done here for years on the draft.

Which is the ignorant bit? Calling the Thorpe Winner 'absolutely awful'? Or something else. Your statement had NOTHING to do with how he was going to turn out. If that's your opinion, that the Thorpe winner is absolutely awful then you patently haven't watched him play. You might not like him as a prospect but to call him what you did is a nonsense.
