Their Dog ? Their Dog has a twitter account and I did not even know what twitter was ? I am old. Have to go to this BS wedding. Ugh. Someone shoot a flare up or something when Jake signs so I have good reason to leave the wedding. I live about 3000 miles west of Miami so make it a big flare.

and imo happens to be a better player the folks give him credit for.

"Been looking at some of last years games just to Iso Richie..

"First off I'd like to say that the combination of Vernon Carey and Columbo were so bad that it really does give me so much optimism going into the season..Those two guys deserve to be where they are at this point, which is OUT of the league..Bums I tell ya in their final year, flat out bums.

I iso'd Richie because it just seems like he has this thing hanging over his reputation in that he is a lumbering stiff, slow player...my findings were quite the contrary.

"1) He's big, and he's strong, he anticipates the snap well, he doesn't take unnessasry steps in his back pedal before he engages, right off the snap he locks on, his anchor and base of his body is so stout its very hard for defenders to get around him, and usually once he locks on , he drives you out of the play or you basically don't get leverage on him.

    2) the misconception...Richie incognito has quickness in that body even though it looks like he's as stiff in the upper body as Channing crowder in coverage, he's not, he's got some get off, he gets off the line with some explosiveness when he knows he has to get to the 2nd level, and executes the responsibility, finds the player, and gets the job done..I just watched for mobility and quickness, and I came away impressed, dude can turn, twist his upper body, and believe it or not, can run.

    3) awareness...I must of watched about 300 snaps, and he is very good at keeping his head on a swivel, can take two players out of the equation on occasion, disengages quickly off his inititial, relocks, and always finishes the play thru the whistle.

    4) I feel comfortable with him next to Jake, and I don't say that just because he's safe, no, he's consistent, he's strong, he's aggressive, he can stop a player in his tracks, has a good punch, and has mobility and quickness that he doesn't get credit for, he's a good left guard imo."

We used to have another one of those 'throw back' players. Brian Cox.

    I was a fan.

Yes, people only like to dwell on the bad things. All players make mistakes. Like I said before, media and press only concentrate on the fancy pants players. When the fancy pants players make mistakes the media has 100 excuses why they did it. When the regular Joe makes a mistake its a trajedy that the player is even on the team LOL

Jake's ego must be so bruised right now. To think you are worth $11m a year and find out you are worth almost half that would be tough to swallow.

Esepcially if it's because you ravaged your body by playing through injuries for the team and to 'respect the code'.

Pros: If Jake returns, we could use a 3rd round pick on a talented OT/OG in a deep OT draft and develop him over the next few years.

Cons: Are we so sure Jake's level of play will warrant keeping him, even at $7m a year? What if he continues to decline, or has nagging (or worse, new) injuries?

    Food for thought.

If I ever buy another jersey, it's gonna be an Incognito 68! I decided that back in December.

Incognito has surprised me, I thought he'd be gone after year 2 at the latest but he's going on year 4.

What's he supposed to tweet? "Please come back Jake because I had average season at RT and if you don't come back I'm pencilled in at LT which right now I'm not ready for"?

If he's perfectly healthy as Andrews has suggested, then his injuries have been flukes. In which case, is their any good reason to assume he won't return to his level of play?

Richies passion and fire are a gift and a curse he plays with so much emotion (which I love) but that same emotion causes bone headed personal fouls during the game.

They have been fewer and farther between. He seems to have finally gotten his head on straight the last 1-1/2 years...which is also the only reason he is still on the roster lol

True. Even with the occasional mental lapse I could never really be mad at the guy that truly loves to play the game and loves his teammates

    Exactly what I was thinking. 2008, 12 penalties; 2009, 10; 2010, 3; 2011, 9; 2012, 6.

what is great about Incognito and the Long to St Louis thing is that he can tell Jake how much the city of St Louis DOES NOT compare to Miami. Incognito, a former Ram.

Does the barkeep get nervous when you start checking his bubble or is it the kind of place where that's accepted? ;)

There is already a show with a guy who writes it and acts like a dog who is human already. Go figure.

    Here and there
Add Joe Robbie to that list, he is just as much to blame for not paying his 3 biggest play makers and forcing their hand and them defecting to the WFL. IMO it was the defining moment that desided the team of the 70's.
