The reason the 49ers are thinking about parting ways with their 2012 1st round selection is due to the addition of Wide Receiver Randall Cobb. The hopes surrounding A.J.'s addition was to be our next slot receiver. But, with the addition of Randall Cobb, it has made it hard for us to move forward with the young stud out of the University of Illinois. Although Jenkins did not produce in the 2012 season, he does have upside as well as a great work ethic. After our tough Superbowl loss to the Baltimore Ravens, both Collin Kaepernick (who is unfortunately no longer with us), and A.J. Jenkins got right back to work to get ready for the 2013 season.
