I was pretty neutral on bringing back Jake but the fact that he only had two suitors is pretty telling. (No, I don't believe Ed Werder's report.) There are legitimate concerns surrounding him.

The biggest issue right now is a replacement needs to be found. You can't just throw Martin at LT and assume he will improve. That's a recipe for disaster.

Comp picks are always given out a year later. The one we'll get tomorrow is for Langford.

Relax. There is a better chance we sign a RT in free agency and move Martin over. Wait to see how free agency plays out before worrying we'll need to draft a tackle. If we do, we can just wait till the 2nd or 3rd and draft a Rt anyway.

You have no idea how much I've grown to hate the Cardinals over the past two seasons.

As for the Rams let them have Jake. I'm sure they'll somehow figure out a way to get a serviceable LT to replace him.

meh can't really get invested in hating the rams we never play them waste of time imo. I would turn on jake long way before I started going out of my way to hate on the rams.

Philbin > Fisher and I'm glad Jake Long is no longer a Miami Dolphin. I would have liked to have signed Cook though.

Jeff Fisher is Tony Sparano with tenure. Nothing more.

Meh. I honestly can't hate on the Lambs.

They are also trying to build a team from nothing. They let several key Free Agents get away, and this is a big signing for them...good for them.

Meanwhile, the Phins are SCREWED

I agree completely about Fisher and Philbin. I actually really like what I saw from Philbin so far (and I liked him in GB too). Jake would have been a good re-signing if it was cheap. His injuries are slowly mounting (still a great player) and they really need to sure up the blindside if Tannehill is going to have success. I think signing a free agent for a year or two would be a good move while grooming Martin to play all 16 games there. As far as Cook, I don't begrudge the Rams for that one. I actually like Keller better in terms of being a pass-catcher. He can't block worth a lick, but Tannehill likes those short slant routes and between Keller and Bess, he will have plenty of options.

Philbin>Fisher, in my eyes, never wanted him, think Philbin is better for us, and we are in better shape for having him

Comp picks are usually (correct me of I am wrong) granted by what you have lost as opposed to what you have gained by way of free agents...

Lost: Bush, Long, Fasano, Smith, and McD (once he signs)

    Gained: Wheeler, Wallace, Ellerbe,

    The jury is still out....

There has never been, in the history of the NFL, a more overrated coach, then Jeff Fisher.

I will never understand the nationwide ball cupping that NASCAR-stache receives.

I came to say basically the same. We should all thank St. Louis for hiring Fischer and taking the most overrated player on our team the last few seasons at a non impact position away from us for stupid money.
