I'd much rather use 2a as part of a move up back into the first round... Sign Winston to play RT

So you would pull the trigger on a trade for Albert?

Hell if they had the cash I'd just sign Winston and trade for Albert. Both are very good at what they do. Draft a true guard for this scheme and that's a hell of a line. I mean exceptional.

For 2a and a contract less than or equal to Long's? Sure.

Draft Chance Warmack. The Phins.com metaphorically in flames, all sorts of brand-new Mike Wallace jerseys being clutched tearfully by over-stimulated highlight reel fans.

I think i just saw on NFL network bottomline that Albert accepts franchise tag, going to sign it tuesday. Isn't it too late to tag a player?

They tagged him earlier in the off-season, Albert just signed it now. All that means is the Chiefs can't rescind it making Albert a free agent later on and freeing up that cap space.

Albert was tagged during the franchise period. That doesn't mean he has to sign the offer during that period. The player is bound by the tag until the next league year.

A lot of franchised players will wait until training camp in order to avoid OTAs, and some who are really angry about being tagged won't sign until week 10 of the season (so as to not miss out on an accrued season that counts towards free agency).

Got it so how does that affect a trade possibility? A 1st or 2nd round tender? top 5 money if we do trade for him?

Franchise tag means two 1sts if we sign him to an offer sheet. But I believe when he signs his tender no one can sign him to an offer sheet and you must trade with the team directly.

    - Marlon Moore signs with 49ers.
    - We are supposedly not in the market for Dumervil

Dumervil is probably too expensive with all the money that just went out, so not really surprising.

My buddy is friends with P.K. Sam, a WR out of Florida State who was with Miami in 2006 and in Training Camp 2007. We bumped into him a few weeks ago and got to talking. He said Ginn was "...the fastest player I've ever seen, but you could pull a high school kid off the street and he could run a better route than Ted."

Got a few nuggets about his time during Miami. He also played with the Bills and Patriots.

    - Played with Anquan Boldin at FSU - best receiver he's played with in his opinion.
    - Said Nick Saban was a great coach, crap person.
    - Cam Cameron cussed him out on the sidelines for dancing after scoring a TD in preseason.
    - Tom Brady is phenomenal. Can plug any WR in that offense and Tom will make it work; very accurate, great ball. Belicheck is as good as everyone says.

P.K., who is 30 now, said he was trying to workout a deal with the Patriots for a tryout. He'd be playing in the CFL for the Toronto Argonauts the past few years with mixed stints in Buffalo.

Really nice guy, very friendly and outgoing.

Pool of corners keeps shrinking. Miami still not doing anything on that front.

I think they're waiting on Grimes to decide.

It is either that, or they are confident enough in Patterson and Marshall, and plan to draft at minimum 2 corners (not necessarily using the first round).

    I disapprove of:

    A) Counting on Richard Marshall and Dimitri Patterson to cover on the boundary,

    B) Counting on rookies to do the same.

I don't disagree. What is your assessment of what makes a zone corner vs. a bump and run guy? I know some of this as I ask, but can you outline the most significant differences. And identify some of the best zone guys out there since this is where we appear to be going with scheme.

finsjesse Former Jet Brandon Moore, visiting Dolphins today (per @MikeGarafolo) was @PFF's 4th highest rated OG in 2012.

I watched some footage of Moore in 2012 because I've liked him in the past and I wanted to see if he's fit for this offense.

I don't think he gives them what they want.
