I agree,...I still feel the tail is going to surprise us and be different from the older leaked version. Why would they hide it in the pic? I swear I see the start of a slight change in the tail direction right before the thumb. Could be the way the shirt folds though....

 

Even this would have made for a better logo...

 

I like this a whole lot more than the leaked logo. Amazing what a few little touch ups do. I don't know how this one could be faked...that would be a really impressive photo shop or something. I think this it boys.

False choices there. My very first impression (first 5 seconds) of the original leak was that the pose and thicker Dolphin looked like a Whale.
I could see how it was a Dolphin, but a first impression matters.

Now that is all moot with the new leak. Because by making navy the bottom color, the Dolphin appears thinner because the navy is the underside of the Dolphin.

EDIT: If people still see a whale, I could understand them being too bitter to unsee what they saw in the original leak.

 

I don't get the impression it's a "they" hiding it. It just seems like some guy who works in a factory or shipping facility opened up a box and took a picture on his phone.

 

Volin has said numerous times that the tail is going upward.

 

same guy leaked the jags logo. Hes in deep ****. Miami must be happy that they didn't at least ruin the jerseys

 

I saw that before and thought it was a great post. Those that claimed it was swimming were obviously proven wrong.

 

I could picture the tail going in a straight back position as opposed to an upswing, at least i hope so. Although I guess i could live with either one. If this is it , I like it. I only hope the dolphin faces front on both sides of the helmet though.

Both the orange and aqua look lighter to me, but you never know. Nope, no grey, despite me pounding on the table lol

Hate it. There's nothing redeeming about that logo. The sun is stupid as hell, the Dolphin looks ******ed, the pose is awkward... I can only hope, the graphic designer of the Dolphins isn't lying and that logo is a fake. If not, I'm out.

As for your first impression, I understand it, but it was also wrong. Dolphins are thick. The thinner looking version is stylized and I like it better, but anybody who says the original didn't look like a real dolphin had an incorrect image of what a dolphin looks like in their head.

 

only thing I dont like is, the logo on the side of the jersey, from what it looks like. I was hoping for stripes

The original leaked logo looked like a whale to a lot of people.

They weren't wrong.

The logo is neither a dolphin nor a whale, it is a symbol. Regardless of how a real dolphin or whale look, if the symbol for a dolphin looks like a whale to enough people, then the symbol is wrong, not the people.

 

It's amazing. 4 Colors is a lot to pull off without looking busy. They get it right here.

 

I don't think that is a game jersey, wrong material and like someone else pointed out it would be embroidered on a game jersey. It could be a coaching jersey, compression shirt or even a cheerleader outfit for the big reveal.

 

I mostly wanted the helmet gone. I didn't care for the drop shadow but it didn't bug me as much as it bugged others. Most of the time I didn't even notice it. The other thing I hated was the cartoony look. Those were my two main criteria. I wanted something that was still a dolphin but eliminated the helmet and the cartoon. If those were met then IMO it was going to be an improvement. I lived with a logo I hated for 39 years (my memory range) so I'm happy it's finally going to be gone.

It's a good look. I think it comes off as tough without trying too hard.

I'm really curious what our complete uni looks like. I like the shift to the older color palate.

Is this the picture everyone has in question? I kind of dig it....not my favorite thing in the world but if it ends up being the final logo I could live with it.

Honestly, I havent loved anything I've seen for the most part - but whatever it ends up being will grow on me, I'm sure.

 

Yikes, I hope this new leak IS NOT the new logo. Not a fan.
